NBA Tips and Predictions: March 14-20
Summary
The National Basketball Association is ramping up into absolute crunch time, and many teams are in full panic mode heading into these final stretches. The engine is to be turned up to the max power, and star players are going to be finally showing their worth in what should be an insane end to the season, with so much on the line. Although motivation is not a question at this point in the season, coaches will be looking to their players to make game-changing plays and create a better opportunity for them to make the playoffs. So many anxious fans, and eager eyes watching the games this week will result in intense matchups.
March 16 – Philadelphia 76ers vs Cleveland Cavaliers
In a game of Eastern Conference contenders, the Philadelphia 76ers are going to be pitted against a top defensive team in the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 76ers are going to need both their stars to perform on Wednesday if they want a chance of gaining separation from the rest of the East. Joel Embiid and James Harden are two of the most dynamic players in the league, however, them getting shut down against the Cavaliers is not a forgone conclusion. Jarrett Allen and this defensive unit are feisty and will be hungry to make amends for earlier season woes against the sixers.
Selection: The 76ers Money lin e, as they will have just enough to get by a stout defence and big game opportunity.
March 18 – Memphis Grizzlies versus Atlanta Hawks
Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies are in great position to get a top three seed in the Western Conference as it stands currently. A surprise story in a tough division, the Grizzlies are well-rounded at every turn. With great shooting, defence, and transition offense, many opponents are intimidated by their game. Ja Morant is turning into a superstar and is firmly in the MVP conversation this year.
Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks need to keep gaining wins in order to make a dent in the Eastern Conference playoff race. His team is now finally healthy, and with this, comes with time and chemistry. If the Hawks are able to lock down Ja Morant, they have a great shot in their game, and match the Grizzlies player for player.
Selection: Atlanta Hawks spread, this game will be tight, and we are backing the underdog to at least cover the spread!
