Baseball Tips and Predictions: MLB 2022 Season Preview
Summary
Baseball is one of the more international sports in the world, and its history is about as old as time.
The potential for growth of the sport is high, however, recent times have seen some dark moments in the build-up to the 2022 season.
Having had a player-owner lockout agreement, the season was supposed to start in March.
Many fans were starting to doubt the fact of a season even happening, but now they have reached a mutual agreement.
There are so many able teams in the MLB. Year in and year out, world series Champions are crowned by hard work and consistency.
Last year, the Atlanta Braves saw the light, but when they lost Freddie Freeman this summer, their path changed.
Favourite to win it all? Los Angeles Dodgers
The Los Angeles Dodgers have come into 2022 with a stacked roster.
Just adding the first baseman from Atlanta, Freeman will have a lot to contribute in what should be a world series bound roster.
Pitching is a slight concern, but the depth and talent they possess runs deep, so it shouldn’t be a problem at all.
An all-star roster returning the likes of Mookie Betts, Cody Bellinger, and Julio Urias the Dodgers are primed to make a huge run and win the World Series in 2022.
There might not be another team in the MLB as talented as the Dodgers, but there are a few who may come close.
Don’t sleep on the Tampa Bay Rays
Tampa Bay has found a form of consistency these past few seasons that have clearly reflected a team that can compete year in and year out.
Having made the World Series themselves in 2020, they faced a Dodgers team that was just a tad bit better in that moment, and were runners-up in a great series.
Having a bunch of solid, core talent makes this team investment worthy in the future few years.
They have great pitching, and back it up with hitters who can get on base at any time.
Although power isn’t their strong suit, the Rays have bat on ball players which trouble most pitchers.
They will hurt you by numbers, and not necessarily big plays. In the post season, this is deadly, and is a testament to their success the past three years.
Underdog Prediction? Los Angeles Angels
Having two MVP winners on your team means your roster should be in contention.
This has not been the case for the Angels in the past decade or so.
Mike Trout has been the heart and soul of this Orange County organization, and the recent addition of Shohei Ohtani has made them a formidable foe.
The dual Pitcher/Hitter is one of the game’s great revelations, and has drawn in so many fans across the world.
The scope of baseball is larger due to the pairing of these two.
Although we didn’t get to see it often last season, this year looks to be a good indicator of how far they can really go.
