Brasileiro Serie A - SC Corinthians vs Santos FC - 1x2 SC Corinthians @ 2.02

  • Nick

A big week for the Classico Alvinegro rivalry.

These two teams already met earlier in the week for a Copa Brazil tie, with Corinthians cruising to a 4-0 victory.

It’s difficult to see anything else other than a repeat of this result.

A win for the home team will see them tie with Palmeiras at the top of the table.

Santos have failed to score in four of their last five meetings against Corinthians who have proved to be their bogey team of late.

Meanwhile Corinthians are undefeated at home in 16 matches. 1 unit

AFL - Geelong vs Richmond - Asian Handicap Richmond -1.5 @ 1.88 -

  • CBod

Geelong last trip out was against bottom side West Coast, and they made a bit of work out of it after being surprisingly level at HT to a poor side.

On paper they've won 4/5, but look closer and they're mainly against teams they should be winning with dreams of winning the competition.

What is noteworthy is their loss to St Kilda, a team who regularly capitulate. Then take their Brownlow Medalist out of the equation after Dangerfield ruled out again

.I also can't help but be impressed with Richmond and their recent victories vs high flying Carlton and a very good side, Port Adelaide.

They're hitting form and the fact they welcome back one of the games all time greats in Dustin Martin, they also possess an X-Factor. 1 unit

CSGO - Roobet Cup - BIG vs Faze - Map Handicap: Faze -1.5 @ 1.90

  • Alex

Should be a relatively straightforward match for Faze. Having recently lost to Navi in the Blast quarter finals, the team bounced back easily defeating OG 2-0.

Expecting them to do the same here against a team that has recently lost 2-0 to Navi, Ence, Heroic and Astralis. 1 Unit

UFC Fight Night - Tsaruykan Vs. Gamrot - Chris Curtis Vs. Rodolfo Vieira - Vieira to win by submission @ 2.65

  • Blake

Rodolfo Vieira may be just three four fights into his UFC career but the 'Black Belt Hunter' has a decorated career under his belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competitions across the world.

And while it hasn't been a perfect start to his UFC run, he's three from four with his only loss coming in a wild fight with Fluffy Hernandez where our charge ran out of gas after an early war.

Lessons were learnt however with Vieira returning to submit Dustin Stoltzfus in the third round back in July last year.

Despite the extended break, the 32-year-old faces another veteran in 34-year-old Chris 'The Action Man' Curtis.

Curtis was on the verge of retirement a couple of years ago when competing in the PFL but has fought on and got his chance in the UFC last year.

In two UFC bouts he has stopped both Phil Hawes and Brendan Allen.

They are some handy form lines to bring into this but expect a completely different fight here and if Vieira can avoid the power of Curtis in the opening exchanges, he can start to chain together his grappling to find a finish on the deck.

For that reason we're being even more aggressive than simply playing Vieira to win at $2.05, instead we'll back this ace on the mat to find a submission finish at $2.65 and if you're even more creative, Vieira is $4.10 to win in round 1. 1 unit

NHL - Colorado Avalanche vs Tampa Bay Lightning 1x2 - Colorado Avalanche $1.92

  • Matt

Game 5 of the Stanley Cup, we return to Denver with the Avalanche just one win away from lifting the trophy.

Game 4 in Tampa was vital in the context of this series, and with the scores tied in the third period & overtime, it was all Colorado, absolutely dominating the home team.

They eventually secured the win after peppering away at Vasilevskiy for the whole of OT.

Colorado have dominated the series, winning game 1 & 2 at home, with Game 2 being a 7-0 demolition of the Lightning.

While two of their three wins have finished a draw in regulation time, with the series at 3-1 I am backing them to clinch this convincingly in regulation time, and lift the trophy in Denver come Friday night. 1.5 units

U/19 European Championship - Israel vs England - 1x2 & Total - England & Under 3.5 @ 2.16

  • Cesar

Soccer fans, the game continues with an interesting tournament!

The U/19 European Championship will showcase some of the best youth players in the world who are set to make some noise in these matches.

England are going into this match undefeated in their last 4 games so the form is expected to continue here. 1 unit

MLB - Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers - Total Under 8.5 Runs @ 2.21

  • Nathan

What a matchup we have here as we cross over to the first game of a new series between the number 4 and 2 ranked NL teams respectively.

Corresponding to that, both teams enter this matchup as #1 and #2 in form over the last 5 in the NL, with the Braves grabbing the series win over Giants and Reds losing 3 straight to the Dodgers. Despite their hot form we always speak about it in baseball, but you can expect that some natural regression is due for these offences and behind well set up defences, it's not hard to see a drop in the numbers on the scoreboard here. 2 units

International Rugby League Test - New Zealand v Tonga - 1x2 & Total - New Zealand & Over 42.5 @ 2.18

  • Brad

Club football takes a back seat this weekend as the Representative Round takes place with a huge weekend of action in line.

While Game 2 of State of Origin on Sunday night is rightly the headline act, Saturday sees three huge International Tests, with New Zealand v Tonga promising to be a cracker.

This will be the first game of high class Rugby League played in New Zealand for three years with the Warriors having played all their games in Australia during the pandemic.

This is by far the strongest Kiwi side in years and have their sights firmly set on winning the World Cup at the end of the year.

Strong all across the 17, New Zealand boast a very impressive forward pack and have a very deadly halves pairing in Jahrome Huges and Dylan Brown.

Tonga have been the big improvers in International football in recent years having made the Semi Final of the 2017 World Cup and beating Australia for the first time in 2019.

The Tongans have a mighty forward pack of their own led by Addin Fonua-Blake and Jason Taumalolo, but are slightly lacking in the back line.

This promises to be a very attacking game of Rugby League as both sides look to show their prowess ahead of this year's World Cup.

New Zealand however are a class above the Tongans so we’re backing the Kiwis to get it done in front of a parochial home crowd in what should be a shoot out. 2 units

CFL - BC Lions v Toronto Argonauts - Over 49.5 points @ 1.91

  • George

Saturday night will see a hotly-contested matchup between two teams hoping to make a statement on a primetime slot on ESPN2, and I am expecting a back-and-forth affair where the points will flow like maple syrup in British Columbia.

Despite the Argonauts producing a terrific defensive display last week where they held Montreal to 19 points and zero passing TD's, they will be up against the hottest player in the competition - Nathan Rourke - on his home field.

He showed what he can do at home back in week 1 against Edmonton, completing 89.7% of his passes for 282 yards and three TDs and feel he will back that performance up with another stout display.

Defensively, the Lions look shaky and can see them giving up at least three maximums against an Argonauts team looking to make a statement and stay on pace with Rourke.

I'm predicting a 30-21 scoreline in favour of the Lions, with both teams jumping out the blocks early to set the tone for the rest of the contest. 3 units

ODI Series 5th International - Sri Lanka v Australia Winner - Sri Lanka @ 2.36

  • Dom Rae

Another baffling price from the layers here as Sri Lanka take on a depleted and defeated Australia side in a dead rubber in Colombo on Friday night.

Sri Lanka secured this five match series with a game to spare in a thriller earlier this week and will be looking to round off the series in style before attention turns to red ball cricket.

The Lions' batters have shared the runs around throughout the four matches so far with Charith Asalanka, Kunal Mendis and Pathum Nissanka all scoring centuries, but it is in the spin department where their skill has really shone through and that could be the difference in this game.

Australia will undoubtedly have one eye on the upcoming test series and will be without a host of top names for this, including Travis Head, Steve Smith, Mitch Starc and Ashton Agar, and the pitch is likely to have been prepared to suit Sri Lanka's attack as it was last time out.

With all this in mind it's a surprise to see the home side as the outsiders to win this match and they can be backed to see off the Aussies once again.. 1 unit

AFL - Richmond vs Carlton - Winner - Carlton @ 1.95

  • Jarrod

While this bet is being taken with Carlton still having a game in between, there is no way that this price holds at 1.95.

Carlton play tonight against an Essendon team that they will beat fairly comfortably, which will see this price come in a little further.

There is a fair bit that separates these two sides, with Carlton already beating Richmond once this year.

I cannot believe they are outsiders, looking at form, who each team has beaten, as well as the two sides on paper head to head. Carlton are the better team. 2 units

AFL - Port Adelaide Power vs Gold Coast Suns - Asian Handicap - Port Adelaide -13.5 @ 1.87

  • Caelum

Are the Power back?

A convincing win against top four contenders, Sydney last week underlined just how good they can be.

Charlie Dixon made a positive return from a long stint on the sidelines and with Travis Boak returning this weekend to compensate for Zak Butters' knee injury, all signs are looking good for Ken Hinkley's charges.

The Suns on the other hand, have come off a strong win against Adelaide last Sunday, but the win came at a cost.

Injuries have been cruel to Stuart Dew's side, with two more players ruled out for the remainder of the season in exciting forward Joel Jeffrey and rebounding defender Wil Powell.

They still have strong enough side to fight for a top eight spot, but it's only getting tougher from here.

Port will also have one extra day to prepare after playing last Saturday, while the Suns will need to travel on the slightly shorter week.

Perhaps the most damning stat to prove this tip's worth is the history between these two sides.

Since Gold Coast's inception into the AFL in 2011, they have only ever beaten Port Adelaide one time, in that same year following a Justin Westhoff miss after the siren.

Port were also a dire football team back then, so as infamous as that win was, it speaks volumes that no wins have come since a time when there were more tarps at Power home games than there were fans.

Considering the lack of personnel for the Suns and the home ground advantage for the Power, expect them to win and easily cover the line. 1 unit

MLB - San Diego Padres vs. Philadelphia Phillies - Winner (incl. Extra Innings) - San Diego Padres @ 2.01

  • Jonah

Another MLB tip after two wins in a row in previous weeks - and once again, we're targeting a home team to win at a price that we don't fully understand.

The Padres are a very good baseball team - they hold a record of .620 for the season and are 24-14 when playing at their home, Petco Park, and have won 7 of their past 10 matches.

This series against the Phillies is indeed being played at Petco Park. The Phillies are a solid team in their own right with a record of .514 this year.

However, they're on the road against a better team in San Diego here and are somehow 1.81 favourites to win?

It's likely in large part due to the Phillies probable pitcher, Aaron Nola, rolling into this one on a 5-win streak.

However, the last two of these wins have come against Washington and Miami (two teams with losing records) - we're backing the Padres to come out strong at home and snap this streak. 1 unit

Dota2 - DPC South East Asia - T1 Gaming vs Talon Esports - Total Maps - Over 2.5 @1.91

  • David

In this South East Asian Dota2 much hyped matchup, we see Talon’s 23savage go against his former team, T1 Gaming.

Talon had a hot 3-game winning streak to start the season but all those didn’t come easy and had to be decided on the third map. Now they’ll be looking to bounce back after a 0-2 loss to Fnatic.

T1 Gaming on the other hand has a 2-1 record, their only loss coming from RSG, a newly promoted team from Division 2 last season.

This just shows how SEA Dota2 could be very much unpredictable.

Given Talon’s tendency to go to a third map and the unpredictability of SEA Dota2, I’m banking on a close match that will go to the third map between these two teams. 1.5 units
