Scottish Premiership - Celtic vs Aberdeen - Asian Handicap - Celtic -1.75 @ $1.95
Celtic will look to hit the ground running, after a successful Scottish Premiership season which saw them wrestle back the title.
The atmosphere at Celtic Park will no doubt be buzzing as they get to unfurl their well deserved league flag in front of their ravenous fans before the match.
As far as team news, they've managed to keep their star players to date, and have so much depth the likes of Aaron Mooy and even last years top scorer Giorgos Giakoumakis might have to settle for a place on the bench.
Undefeated in 32 league games (and winning 26 of these), it leads us to expect much of the same of Celtic that took all before them last season, and should easily cover the handicap against an Aberdeen side which finished 9th last season. 1 unit
Women's European Championship Final - England v Germany - Anytime Goalscorer Alexandra Popp @ 3.25
It’s the final of the Women’s Euros and England will kick off favourites with their Wembley stadium home advantage and conceded 1 goal all tournament.
And it is because of this tight defensive form that it appears the prices of the German goalscorers are as big as you will ever see them.
The Germans are 2x World and 8x European Champions.
They’ve never lost a Euro final. They dominate Soccer on the biggest international stages regardless of gender.
You have to fancy them to grab at least one goal in a tournament averaging 3.07 goals per game.
Enter Alexandra Popp - the German captain and Centre-Forward - who in the Semi-Final against a very strong French side became the 1st lady to score in 5 consecutive Euros Final matches.
Her 2 goals in that match also made her the (joint) leading goalscorer in the tournament.
With an international strike rate of 56 goals in 117 matches (it’s even better domestically), you back this 3.25 over her career and you’re in nice profit. 0.75 units
F1 Hungarian Grand Prix - Yuki Tsunoda Top 10 Finish @ $3.50
It's fair to say we're going to take a bit of a flyer this week as we head to Hungary for the last F1 race before the 'Summer Break' in the Championship.
And the reason we are doing so is because it's been an up and down year for Yuki Tsunoda and his Alpha Tauri team. In fact it's been a mostly down year if we're being frank.
Through a combination of bad luck and bad management, Tsunoda hasn't filled a top 10 spot since Spain back in late May.
But don't let the raft of recent retirements and low placed finishes fool you; when the man from Japan is on song he thoroughly deserves a spot inside the points.
In fact we saw last week, albeit with some variables playing a role, that he can put that car into Q3 on his day and if he does that on Saturday, the $3.50 about him to finish in the Top 10 is going to look more than a bit generous. 2 units
UFC 277 - Derrick Lewis Vs. Sergey Pavlovich - Winner - Derrick Lewis @ 1.99
The UFC returns to Dallas, Texas for UFC 277.
For this tip we are looking to the heavyweight division, where the "Black Beast", Derrick Lewis takes on Russian, Sergei Pavlovich.
Both heavyweights have big K.O power, and with the under 1.5 round odds @1.64, this fight isn't expected to go to a judge's decision.
While Sergei Pavlovich has been mighty impressive in his career so far, with only 1 loss vs. Alistair Overeem back in 2018, I don't think any of his previous wins have been against someone with the abilities of Lewis.
Lewis has been a gatekeeper in the heavyweight division for a while now, and seems to be getting better with age, and I think he will get back to winning ways here KO/TKO'ing Pavlovich. 1 unit
Soccer - European Championship Women - England vs Germany - 1x2 Total England & Under 3.5 @ 3.05
The Womens Euro Final is here! And what a game it is set to be… A blockbuster clash between two giant footballing nations!
Both have been superb this tournament, showing technical and physical prowess as well as heart!
England has been stellar this year, playing really good football, with some superstars shinning through incredible performances and the fans backing them all the way through.
Germany has been Germany… with their usual calculated football and ice in their veins to remain focused on the task at hand.
This was showcased clearly in their latest match against France, where they found themselves against the ropes and instead of fumbling the bag, they fought back in ruthless fashion and secured the win!
However, England are in incredible form and with the fans backing them at home, the positive energy and heart they have shown all the way through, I see England taking the title by the horns in another exciting match!
It’s coming home… England to win here and under 3.5 goals 2 units
AFL - St. Kilda Saints vs Hawthorn Hawks - Winning Margin St. Kilda Saints by 15-31 @4.5
The end of July nears and if you’ve been riding, what a month it has been!
They say your luck can’t last forever so with that in mind, we’re going to send an absolute PRAYER for our final tip thanks to the St. Kilda Football Club who can hopefully salute off our perfect month!
It’s only fitting that we come back full circle to the last tip we lost, taking the same winning margin on the Saints who astonishingly were made a mockery of by the Essendon Bombers…
This time, we look to down a different air brigade in the Hawthorn Hawks who have quietly racked up a three game winning streak. Let’s dive into some of the numbers we’re working with.
The Saints are 6/10 on the season playing in the confines of Marvel Stadium, Melbourne, Australia, being thumped off the oval in their last two matchups against the Dogs and Dockers.
What does this tell us? They’re due for a win.
This particular matchup with the Hawks has the bookies setting a handicap line of -7.5 which is a steal in itself but more interestingly, an over/under total of 167.5 points.
The Hawks have made visits to Marvel 3 times this year, surpassing the 80 point mark all three times, and so for this margin to lose, the Sainters would have to put up a score beyond 110 and limit the scoring of Hawthorn which quite frankly is tough to see happening.
The reason why the Saints are out of the Top 8 at the moment is their percentage, so we’re going to play the percentages and say a blow-out is off the cards here.
They’re the better team and should get the job done, just not by a landslide. Go Saints! ️4 units
NRL - Brisbane Broncos v Wests Tigers - Asian Handicap West Tigers 17.5 @ 1.92
The high-flying Brisbane Broncos host the downfallen Wests Tigers in a clash that sees one of the in-form teams of the competition host the team currently occupying last place on the ladder.
Brisbane’s transformation from cellar-dwellers to premiership fancies this season has been as surprising as it has been impressive.
The Broncos are on course for a top-four finish in 2022 and proved their title credentials in a dominant away win against Parramatta last weekend.
Wests on the other hand are stuck in 16th place and suffered one of the great injustices in Rugby League history last weekend as they lost to North Queensland thanks to a controversial penalty awarded after the siren had sounded.
To say the Tigers were robbed last Sunday isn’t an overreaction and should have claimed a huge scalp in the Cowboys away from home.
Wests have shown huge improvement in form since Brett Kimmorley took over as head coach, losing their last three games by 1,2 and 8 points respectively, all against top-8 opponents.
Brisbane are running hot at the minute but we like the look of the Tigers with a 17.5 start. 2 units
Belgium First Division - KAS Eupen v Club Brugge - Club Brugge -1.25 Asian Handicap @ 1.99
This week we travel to Belgium, where the reigning champs go on the road to face a side they have had great success against.
It is a simple combination of bad defense versus a potent offense, with Eupen known to prefer a strength up forward while leaving many vulnerabilities down back.
Brugge have managed to exploit that in their own backyard in recent times, scoring 2+ goals in their past five games at Kehrwegstadion and 4+ goals in three of these five.
Also worth noting that Brugge has won four of those away games, proving great value to repeat that success this weekend.
Predicting a blowout here, and will back the reigning Belgian title-holders at a 3-0 scoreline.2.5 units
Championship - Watford v Sheffield United - 1x2 Watford @ 2.28
The Championship starts in earnest this weekend with Watford taking on Sheffield United at Vicarage Road in the opening round's final match on Monday night.
Watford have a new manager in Rob Edwards who performed magnificently with Forest Green last season as they won the League Two title.
He has been positive in the market and setting up his side in the pre-season fixtures, so it's no surprise to see that the Championship winner market has Watford as second favourites for the title.
Despite constant speculation throughout the summer it looks like Ismaila Sarr and Emmanuel Dennis will both start the season with the club and this will be crucial in their opening game with the Blades.
When on form this pair caused plenty of problems for Premier League defences last season and they will be ably supported by new signing Vakoun Bayo who will lead the line following his move from Charleroi where he scored 11 goals in 19 appearances.
Watford produced a solid defensive displays drawing 0-0 against both Southampton and Panathinaikos in pre-season and importantly retained 21/22 player of the year Hassane Kamara, who is a dangerous outlet on the left.
They won their opening Championship game at home two seasons ago with a clean sheet against Middlesbrough, and look a solid betting proposition to repeat the feat this time around as they look to start the promotion push on the right foot. 1 unit
German Super Cup - RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munchen - 1x2 & Total - Bayern & Over 1.5 @ 2.02
The Bundesliga is only a week or so away and with anticipation sky high for the new season, reigning DFB Pokal winners RB Leipzig will face reigning Bundesliga champions and footballing juggernaut Bayern Munich in the German Super Cup.
A German equivalent of the FA Community Shield for any Premier League fans out there, the match isn't expected to shape the season for either side, but will at least serve as a good indicator for how both sides will perform this season.
Leipzig have skyrocketed up the German footballing pyramid and now established themselves as a regular top four contender domestically, as well as a force to be reckoned with continentally.
Semi final appearances in the Champions and Europa League in seasons gone by underline their quality.
Their fourth placed finish was good enough to get them back into the Champions League, despite what was a slow start to the season.
Bayern on the other hand, remain the team to beat in Germany. Another league title somewhat soured the shock exit in the quarter finals of last year's Champions League to Villareal.
One would expect Bayern to be runaway winners once again this season, but without star striker Robert Lewandowski, it will be an interesting period of change at the Allianz Arena. Matthijs de Ligt seems an incredible signing for 67 million Euros, while Sadio Mane will add serious quality to an already elite forward-line.
One major aspect to consider is the recent record Bayern have over Leipzig. Leipzig have not beaten the Bavarians since March of 2018, which swings this contest right into Bayern's favour.
Both teams are very attacking minded, so given the record and quality they have moving forward, expect some goals but as is usually the case, a Bayern win too. 1 unit
UFC - Juliana Pena V Amanda Nunes - Winning Method - Amanda Nunes KO @ $2.10
The rematch fight fans have been waiting for is here.
Juliana Pena shocked the UFC when she defeated Amanda Nunes is the upset of all upsets.
Nunes will be coming out swinging and wanting to make this a short visit into the octagon.
For this fact that's why I believe the fight will end by KO.
In the words of the famous Ceaser, "I love the name of honour more than I fear death".4 units
League of Legends - LCK - T1 vs Gen G - Correct score 1-2 Gen G @ 3.65
Two titans of the LCK go to battle once again this weekend, a treat for LOL esports fans!
Earlier this month these teams faced off, and T1 came out victorious ending Gen G’s undefeated streak with a close 2-1 win.
This time around, both teams are sitting on an impressive 12-1 record for the season.
Gen G seem to have ironed out their loose ends and look to be a well oiled machine, absolutely deleting all opponents in their path lately.
Redemption is looming for Gen G, with the team eager to take their revenge on T1, and prove to fans that they are the number 1 team, it’s go time.
Much like their last encounter, I see this match going down to the wire and ending in a crazy decider game on map 3.
However this time, Gen G might just have the edge they need and the fire in their bellies to win here. 2 units
