F1 Tips and Predictions: 2022 British Grand Prix

Formula 1 heads back to the birthplace of the Champshionship today with Silverstone to host the next leg of the 2022 Season.

It’s been a wet and wild weekend with qualifying heavily affected by a number of downpours yesterday.

But the cars were mostly kept on the track which made for an exciting and intriguing session.

And for the first time in his career Carlos Sainz put it on pole with very few excuses from his rivals.

Max Verstappen was as consistent as ever and will start from the front row with Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez supporting their teammates from the second row.

Lewis Hamilton outqualified George Russell to draw closer in their head-to-head battles through the season.

So to what we can expect today?

There are some showers predicted but to what degree we see that fall on the track only time will tell.

Given how well he has driven in patches this season (think Monaco) it’s hard to see why Sainz is $5.15 from pole tonight.

In terms of a more exotic wager, Pierre Gasly is $2.35 to win Group 3 where he will need to beat home Zhou Guanyu, Daniel Ricciardo and Sebastien Vettel.

Esteban Ocon didn’t have the qualifying he would have hoped for and will start from P15 but he is $2.75 to finish Top10 and given the way the Alpine has performed this year, that looks another solid bet.
