English Premier League - Chelsea vs Manchester United - Asian Totals Under 2.5 goals @ 2.00

  • Nick

We saw a much more spirited Manchester United in their win against Tottenham, casting aside doubts the Cristiano Ronaldo saga will have an effect on team performances. Chelsea away will be a test though.

While Chelsea were a little limp in attack against Brentford, their defence is still as staunch as you’ll come across in the competition at the moment, having not conceded a goal across all competition for five matches now.

A big part of this has been the recent surprise form of Spanish keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Not expecting goals in this game, and it could well be a battle between the two Spanish keepers at opposing ends of the field, so unders it is. 2 units

UFC280 - Aljamain Sterling Vs Tj Dillashaw - Double Chance Sterling to win via Submission or Points @ 1.79

  • Blake

The co-main event at UFC280 fixes to be an explosive contest of the old vs the new when Aljo takes on TJ for the Bantamweight belt.

Aljo has proven himself as the divisions elite over the past few years and stunned the world with a tactical win over Petr Yan in their rematch earlier this year.

Now he must face one of the divisions previous hero-turned-villains in what looks an intriguing contest.

There’s some doubt Aljo has the absolute fire in his hands or legs to put TJ out cold but he has the youth and skill set to make this a very tough night for the man who has fought just once in the past three years.

If Aljo gets this on his terms early this could quickly become a whitewash of sorts and if there is a finish, we’re expecting it to come via sub. 2 units

A-League - Western Sydney Wanderers v Brisbane Roar - 1x2 Western Sydney @ 2.14

  • Brad

The Wanderers are undefeated so far in Season 2022-23 after an impressive 1-0 win on the road to Melbourne Victory last weekend.

Brisbane on the other hand are yet to record three points, after starting their season with a draw and defeat.

More disheartening for the Roar is that they are yet to score a goal in their opening two games, even with former Premier League striker Charlie Austin leading their line.

The most impressive part of Western Sydney’s two wins has been their defence, with two clean sheets next to their name already.

Back at home and on a high from their road win last weekend, the Wanderers look good value to extend their winning streak and keep Brisbane winless. 2 units

T20 World Cup - England v Afghanistan - Ben Stokes Total Runs Over 18.5 @ 1.85

  • Dom Rae

England, one of the teams expecting to battle it out for World Cup glory, begin their campaign against Afghanistan in Perth on Saturday with a few question marks hanging over the team.

Their best opening batting partnership still looks uncertain, Jos Buttler looks set to take on unprecedented responsibility as captain, wicket keeper and opener and Reece Topley's recent injury has punctured a hole in the bowling attack.

Added to all this is the tactical dilemma Ben Stokes' return to the side has caused.

It's a nice problem for England to have but they now don't seem to know their best order.

That being said, Stokes is a world class operator who has proved time and time again he is the man for the big occasion.

He scored 36 in a warm up game with Pakistan earlier this week and is a superb player of spin, which is an area this weekend's opponents excel in.

The line of just 18.5 runs looks generous for punters and should be taken advantage of on the opening weekend of the Super 12. 1 unit

Bundesliga - VfL Bochum vs 1. FC Union Berlin - VfL Bochum Total - Under 0.5 @ 2.45

  • Caelum

Union Berlin have been the surprise packet of the Bundesliga so far.

Top of the table and clear of Bayern Munich by four points, it's been an incredible rise from a side who four seasons ago, were in the second division.

Since then, they've finished 11th, seventh and then fifth last season to secure Europa League football in the other half of the German capital.

Their league opponents this weekend are VfL Bochum, who are rooted to the bottom of the table with one win in ten matches.

Last time out, it was a disappointing 4-1 loss away giving fellow relegation candidates Stuttgart their first win of the campaign.

The biggest reason behind Union's success both domestically and continentally has been their defence.

Without any established defensive stars, they have only conceded six goals in the league across their first ten outings.

Bayern are the only other side still with single digits in this department.

They have gone five games without conceding a goal across all competitions and confidence will be high against a side who have only managed nine goals themselves.

Bochum have been more let down by their attack this season, but they are also averaging 2.7 goals against them per outing.

With that in mind, Union to win at 1.95 seems great value.

But with a mid-week Europa League match against top of the table Braga, you can back them to, at the very least, continue their impressive defensive outputs regardless of the final result. 2 units

Kabaddi - Patna Pirates V Dabang Delhi KC - Patna Pirates @ 3.25

  • Matt R

The Patna Pirates will take on the Dabang Delhi KC in the grudge match of the Pro Kabaddi Association League this week.

The Pirates took on UP Yoddha in the primary semi-match last time in and it was an absolute thriller for the crowds.

If Patna can carry their form from the last match into this one it will be a walk over.

In a shock upset the Pirates dominated the game 38-27 to come to the highest point differntial of the opposition.

Shrikant Jadhav got ten focuses for UP Yoddha.

Be that as it may, a joined collaboration by the Pirates saw them arise with the choccies on the night to arrive at the last point.

Dabang Delhi KC, in the meantime, faced the Bengaluru Bulls in their semi-last conflict and arose victorious by five, which in the eyes of some was their greatest victory.

I believe the Pirates will emerge victorious here again with the assistance of the two late terminations on the mat. 3 units

NFL - Baltimore Ravens vs Cleveland Browns - Handicap: Ravens -6.5 line @ 1.88

  • Alex

Despite being 3-3 this season, the Ravens come in as hot favourites to take the victory against Cleveland.

While the Ravens have struggled towards the late stages of matches these past few weeks, the overall performance of Lamar Jackson has been relatively impressive.

Meanwhile, the defensive unit for Cleveland is having significant difficulties, and their track record in Baltimore is quite abysmal.

The Baltimore Ravens have a chance to redeem themselves after their defeat the previous week, and the odds are in their favour that they will.

Taking the Ravens on the handicap. 1 unit

La Liga - Barcelona vs Athletic Bilbao - 1x2 & Total Barcelona & Under 3.5

  • Cesar

After a dominant win vs Villareal, Barcelona now face a strong athletic who has been performing quite well in La Liga this season.

Although I see Barcelona's defence as a bit of a liability, I don't see Athletic scoring more than one goal against a fired up Barcelona who is out seeking redemption for their lack of form in the Champions League and against eternal rivals Real Madrid. 1 units

UFC280 - Petr Yan vs Sean O'Malley - Winner Sean O'Malley @3.40

  • Ben

Super excited to see this matchup playout with two stylistically opposing fighters! Both looking for a win to launch their careers back into the upswing they carried preceding their last fights.

O'Malley coming off a no contest and Yan coming off a disappointing defeat we can expect both fighters to be careful not to throw away another chance at victory by being reckless.

Look out for a battle of wits where O'Malley will utilise his reach and height to fight on the outside of his opponent Yan, who will look to find creative ways to close the distance.

Neither fighter wants to be the one to make that crucial early error, so I'm expecting to see a drawn out tactical battle as opposed to an all out slugfest early, with Suga Sean ultimately out striking and taking the win 3 units

AFLW - St. Kilda Saints vs. Port Adelaide Power - St. Kilda -8.5 @1.88

  • Tangy

Only two rounds of a stunning Season 7 of women’s football! And the Sainters have the privilege of closing out their campaign with 2 home games against both Adelaide clubs!First up, the newcomers Port Adelaide.

A tough first season entering the competition, despite the services of league star Erin Phillips, but youth and inexperience proved too much against the nation’s elite, being able to only secure the single win and a draw that places them 3rd last on the table heading into Week 9.

The spirited Saints not so much better though, still stuck on 2 wins since the first 2 games of the season.

But back at home, we’re backing the resurgence to close out the season, as they look to their final opportunity to win a match for the season with a visit from the reigning premiers looming next weekend.

The last time we saw the girls on RSEA park it was devastation as they almost knocked off Collingwood as +16.5 underdogs, but fell to a final minute shocker.

But this time they’re 2 score favourites and the only other times they’ve been in this position, were the first two games of the season; where coincidently saw them put another pair of newcomers Sydney and Hawthorn to the sword. 2 units

NFL - Denver Broncos v New York Jets - Under 35.5 points @ 2.40

  • George

If you’re looking for an NFL game to watch on the couch this Sunday afternoon expecting a touchdown-fest, unfortunately this game is not the one for you.

We have two great defensive units squaring off against offenses that are still trying to figure things out, with the Broncos having more to do than the New York outfit who are at a surprising 4-2 record to start the season.

Russell ‘Mr Unlimited’ Wilson needs no examination into his first six weeks as the Broncos quarterback, as the consensus shows he is having a very underwhelming start considering his talent and elite receiving duo at his disposal in Courtland Sutton and Jerry Judy.

He would need to have a great game to combat this Jets defence that looks to be firing on all cylinders, combining a healthy mix of defensive line pressure on opposing quarterbacks and a proactive secondary that is quick to pounce on errors past the second level.

With New York, their recipe to success on the offensive side of the ball is simple: employ a solid running game to dictate the drives.

Early rookie of the year candidate Breece Hall is steering this ship to great success, and with a nice third down pass-catching option in Michael Carter at Robert Saleh’s disposal they are sure to dictate the tempo of the game from the first snap.

Their QB Zach Wilson is still easing his way back in after missing the first month with injury, and looks like he will be more than happy playing ‘game manager’ until his confidence comes back to 100%.

With projected rain to add to two super defensive units I can’t see this game producing more than four touchdowns, and feel we may be looking at a 20-17 scoreline (hopefully in favour of the Jets). 4 units
