Golf Tips and Predictions: RBC Heritage Open
Summary
The PGA Men’s Tour is welcoming another huge event to follow up on the Masters, a tournament where we saw some of the craziest things this past week.
Hilton Head golf course is home to one of the bigger tournaments of the season and we will be witnessing another week of the world’s best heading to the tee to put up their talents amongst one another.
The PGA Tour is ramping up its production and we are starting to see more and more events that have bigger purses and ranking points that are pushing players to think twice about their retention towards LIV Golf.
The PGA is the oldest golf league on the planet, and these next few months of banger tournaments will truly provide fans with something to behold.
This week’s RBC Heritage Open is elevated to a different level in 2023, although last year we had some great opportunities for the top players to come out for the event.
This year, though, will see many players of the top ten and top fifty speeding up their plane tickets and wanting to take a shot at glory.
Stake.com will be offering the best odds and ability to bet on golf tournaments all year long!
Players to Watch For
Jordan Spieth - Designation and Fire Away (Defending Champ)
Jordan Spieth and his ability to win big tournaments has been one to remind ourselves in 2023.
Spieth comes into the RBC Heritage after a solid Master’s outing, and he is the defending champion with great knowledge of the course conditions.
Spieth has been in the running for a plethora of tournaments since the start of the new season, and he’s come up big in a few of them.
Jordan is one of the fan favourites of this tournament and in the golfing world in general, he plays with a ton of confidence and will be pacing to get himself back in the winner’s circle this weekend.
Spieth will need to rely on his solid green game, something that has been able to carry his results in recent times, but also his putting game.
Regardless of the field around him, Spieth figures to be one of the men who are able to win it all at RBC.
Colin Morikawa - Destined for a Breakthrough
Colin Morikawa is having an inconsistent season for his standards and will look to regain his form in the RBC Heritage, a tournament which fits his game nicely.
When looking at the overall landscape of both the early and late holes, Morikawa can do some great damage and get some early birdies which will put him above the field in multiple spots.
How he is able to handle himself on Sunday, and in pressure situations will be key to watch, though.
If he is able to create space amongst himself and the field, there could be a runway for a big-time win.
Rory Mcclroy - Time to Rise
Rory’s time to make a splash in 2023 has to come sooner rather than later.
The legend of the game has been relatively lacking his past few outings, and there is good reason to believe that the streak will not continue much longer.
Rory ’s ability on greens like these make him an easy pick to go all the way.
His powerful game will make him a threat on these course holes, and if he can get off to a hot start there is plenty of opportunity.
He faces a ton of top players once again this week, so don’t expect anything short to come from his club.
