Analysis

Game 1 - San Diego Padres @ St. Louis Cardinals - Monday, May 30th, 2022

The San Diego Padres are rolling on all cylinders, and have been beating up on mostly every team that they have faced in a series so far.

The pitching is next-level, and their offense has now picked up the slack off of MVP Candidate Manny Machado.

Padres Nation knows that this team is capable of putting on great performances, and they want revenge from last year.

San Diego has played better on the trot away, but they are starting to pick up home wins as well.

This game will be a tough one, but the Padres know they have advantages on multiple perspectives of baseball.

St. Louis Cardinals must feel good about the uptrend that they are currently on, and they are led by two of the best hitters in baseball.

Nolan Arenado and Paul Goldschmidt have been excellent for the Cards, and this will hopefully continue on towards the entirety of the season.

Starting pitching and bullpen problems have plagued the Cardinals this season, and they will look to address this issue in the offseason.

For now though, they are faced with a tough task in the Slam Diego Padres.

Prediction - San Diego Padres Moneyline, in a tight match where the home team should pull it through by a hair.

Game 2 - Washington Nationals @ New York Mets - Wednesday, June 1st, 2022

Washington faithful will be itching for a good series result against one of the best teams in baseball, and a division rival.

The amount of hits and runs this team has scored has been unfair to lose this many games.

Pitching has been a great issue for the team, and without staff like Max Scherzer and Stephen Strasburg, they must dig deep to find wins.

Offense is never a problem with the Nationals throughout any iteration of the roster, but it seems like the pitching has been subpar to say the least.

The New York Mets are rolling, and it is mostly due to the fact of the resurgence of Franchise player Francisco Lindor.

The ability this Mets team has was never in doubt, and was a huge expectation coming into this season from free agency.

They will be firm favorites to take this matchup, and should barring no errors or huge mistakes.

Prediction - New York Mets runline -1.5, in what should be a drought.
