NFL 2022 Weekly Preview: Week 15

News Content

Welcome to a very merry edition of our Weekly Preview.

Last week, we went 3-2 and we are looking to build on that success for the holidays.

With Christmas right around the corner, we hope we can go 5-0 to give everyone some extra coin in their wallet.

With that said, grab a cup of hot chocolate and enjoy our five-day weekly preview!

If this is your first time reading our Weekly Preview, we have a winner for each of the five days of football.

This covers the NFL Thursday Night Football, a Friday college football game, a Saturday college football game, a Sunday NFL game and finally the Monday Night Football game to end the week!

With that said, let’s get into the winners for the week!

NFL – San Francisco 49ers @ Seattle Seahawks

Are you ready for some Thursday Night Football?

This week, we have the San Francisco 49ers taking on the Seattle Seahawks in a crucial game in the NFC West.

If the 49ers win this game, they win the NFC West and basically end the Seahawks playoff chances. Seattle, at 7-6, are currently a half a game out for the final Wildcard spot.

With a road game against Kansas City next week, this is a must win for them if they want to keep their Playoff aspirations alive.

Luckily for them, they are catching the 49ers at a very opportunistic time. San Francisco has not played a true road game since October 30 and Brock Purdy will be making his first start on the road in his young NFL career.

Despite the 49ers winning six in a row and being the hottest team in the NFL, this is a perfect situation to fade them.

Seattle is notorious for their home field advantage and it would be quite shocking if the Seahawks lose three straight at home.

Fading a rookie quarterback making his first career road start on Primetime is a recipe for success.

Therefore, we highly recommend taking the Seahawks +3.5 at home in a must win game.

Even if they don’t pull the outright upset, we believe the Seahawks will definitely cover the 3.5-point spread.

Selection: Seattle Seahawks +3.5 @ 1.84

College Football – UTSA Roadrunners @ Troy Trojans

Welcome to College Bowl Season!

The first day of bowl season takes us to the Duluth Trading Cure Bowl which will be played in Orlando, Florida.

In this matchup, we have two 11-2 teams that are currently ranked #24 and #25 in the country.

While both of these teams are very athletic and can score at will, we will be backing Frank Harris and the UTSA Roadrunners.

Frank Harris has just announced that he will be coming back to UTSA for his seventh season.

Believe it or not, he had a medical redshirt, a regular redshirt and also a covid waiver allowing him to play for three additional years.

The hype behind him coming back is huge as he just signed a 6 figure NIL Deal.

With this game being played on National Television, we believe Frank Harris will come out to play.

UTSA averages 486 yards on offense compared to 374 yards for Troy and we believe that Harris and the Roadrunners will make enough plays to ultimately win this high scoring affair.

Both teams are very similar as they have each won 10 straight.

UTSA has lost to Houston and Texas early in the season while Troy lost to Ole Miss and Appalachian State.

While this game should be very close, we give the nod to the more explosive offense with the better quarterback.

Take the Roadrunners at +1 and expect a great game to start off the College Bowl Season!

Selection: UTSA Roadrunners +1 @ 1.91

College Football - Washington State Cougars @ Fresno State Bulldogs

With a huge slate of college football on Saturday, we are focusing our attention on the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl at SoFi Stadium.

This matchup features the 7-5 Washington State Cougars taking on the 9-4 Fresno State Bulldogs.

While it’s rare for a Mountain West team to be favoured against a PAC 12 team, we believe that Fresno State will easily win this game and cover the 3.5-point spread.

Fresno is one of the hottest teams in the country winning 8 in a row and their outstanding quarterback Jake Haener is suiting up for this game.

Instead of sitting out of the bowl game to focus on the NFL Draft, Haener wants to leave his college career as a winner.

After winning the Mountain West Championship a couple weeks ago, Fresno State should be motivated to dethrone a PAC 12 team.

With this game being played in California, Fresno State should definitely have the home field advantage.

Throw in the fact that the Cougars just lost the Apple Cup, we can’t see them taking this game seriously.

There’s no motivation on their side to win this game. The Bulldogs will rally around their stud quarterback and will want to send Haener out as a winner.

Take the smaller conference school with the better quarterback here and lay the 3.5 points. It wouldn’t surprise us if Fresno State wins by double digits.

Selection: Fresno State Bulldogs -3.5 @ 1.93

NFL – Kansas City Chiefs @ Houston Texans

Are you ready for some Sunday NFL Football?

This may be the biggest mismatch in the NFL with the 10-3 Kansas City Chiefs taking on the 1-11-1 Houston Texans.

Last week, the Texans had their Texas Super Bowl taking on the Dallas Cowboys.

As a 17-point underdog, the Texans had multiple opportunities to seal the game but ultimately lost.

With first and goal on the 4-yard line, the Texans could not punch in the ball into the end zone and then allowed the Cowboys to drive 98 yards in less than 3 minutes to get the win.

A loss like that is completely devastating and we believe the Texans will come out extremely sluggish against one of the best teams in the NFL.

The Chiefs were up 27-0 last week and then completely fell apart.

Despite them getting the win against the Denver Broncos, that game should have been over in the 2nd quarter instead of ending in a 6-point victory.

Andy Reid will not allow his team to take their foot off the gas this week in a game that they should absolutely dominate.

The Chiefs still have a chance to win the AFC and get a first round bye.

They cannot have any slip ups and we believe Patrick Mahomes will put on an absolute clinic against this Texans secondary.

Laying 14 points on the road is always a hard thing to do in the NFL but we would be absolutely shocked if the Texans keep this game close.

Take the Chiefs and expect them to destroy the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Selection: Kansas City Chiefs -14 @ 1.90

NFL – Los Angeles Rams @ Green Bay Packers

This Monday Night we have the Los Angeles Rams heading into frigid Green Bay to take on the Packers.

The Rams who are 4-9 and 1-4 on the road are coming off a huge victory last week against the Raiders.

No one could have scripted that outcome with Baker Mayfield leading the Rams to victory with an epic 98-yard touchdown drive in less than two minutes without knowing the majority of the Rams playbook.

Unfortunately for Mayfield, the NFL can be a humbling experience and we expect him and the Rams to get destroyed in Lambeau Field.

The Packers are coming off a bye and Aaron Rodgers is feeling a lot healthier.

Believe it or not, the Packers are only 2.5 games out of the last wildcard spot and still have a slight chance of making the Playoffs.

Fading Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night in December is not a smart thing to do.

With a Christmas showdown against the Dolphins, the Packers will try to end this game quickly.

One of our favorite angles in football is fading warm weather teams heading into the cold in December.

The Rams will not want to play in these elements and will lay down quickly.

Though laying a touchdown with a team who has only won two games all year by a touchdown or more is tough to do, we believe the Packers will absolutely crush the Rams on Monday Night.

Selection: Green Bay Packers -7 @ 1.92

So there you have it. Five games in five nights.

This week our multi pays 24/1 and we are quite confident that we can hit it.

We hope you enjoy this slate of football and wish you the best of luck!
