Analysis
Colorado Avalanche versus Edmonton Oilers - Game Four (COL Leads 3-0)
NHL Stanley Cup favourites, Colorado Avalanche will be looking to stamp their place in the Stanley Cup finals after taking a commanding three to zero series lead against the Oilers. After taking two on the trot at home, the Avalanche won an ever important road game three, which completely sucked the life out of the Oilers. Boasting the best offensive efficiency ratings among the rest of their peers, the Avalanche are one of the hottest teams in the NHL. They provide opponents with constant pressure in the worst way resulting in goals and power plays. They will be licking their chops at a decisive game four in sweep fashion.
Edmonton is looking to pull off the impossible against the Colorado Avalanche in the WCF. Connor McDavid and company have played a hell of a season up to this point, but they look to have come up just short in the grand scheme of things. Taking this game as a single playoff will help the team realise their contributions this season, but also fire them up to potentially extend the series further. There isn’t much to be hopeful about in Edmonton, but if there’s any player who can turn a series on its head, it’s Connor McDavid.
Conclusion - Colorado Avalanche clear up the dead space, and advance to the Stanley Cup Finals after a sweep in game four.
New York Rangers versus Tampa Bay Lightning - Game Four (NYR Leads 2-1)
New York was just a hair away from leading this series three games to none, and that has to be playing on repeat in their minds for the next few moments. The Rangers are playing some of the best hockey the franchise has ever seen, and has them in a great spot against the Lightning. Their power play efficiency and goal-keeping ability has been top tier, and has stopped some of the best chances from the Lightning.
The Lightning have a jolt of confidence after creating a winning game from a two goal deficit in game three. The Reigning and Defending Champions of the NHL, their experience is unmatched compared to most teams, and will prove to be the factor here.
Conclusion - Tampa Bay to win game four.
