Summary

The 2023 MLB Season is just a few weeks away and there will be several hungry teams looking to make a mark at the WS in 2023.

What was an impressively crafted year in 2022, there was drama and action to go around for everyone.

Each playoff series had you on the edge of your seats and a ton of heart-warming stories made the cut.

The Houston Astros won the chip in 2022, a team that has been looking to clear their name after a “cheating” scandal just a few years ago.

All eyes will be on them and how they rebound, and the target that has always been there has grown significantly.

Nonetheless, we still have many talented teams in the MLB and those who have been aggressive with moves in this past offseason now set themselves up for a huge year.

There are going to be about 8-10 teams that have a realistic shot of taking it all the way, but who are the favourites?

Teams Who Can Win it All in 2023

Repeat in the H? - Houston Astros

Although the Houston Astros lost their ace, Justin Verlander to free agency, the squad still runs more than deep.

Offensively, their bats are probably the most stacked in the whole league, with a ton of consistency throughout the lineup.

Depth is not a problem and they introduced rookie SS Jeremy Pena to the world last season.

Making the right plays and playing mistake-free baseball led the Astros in such a big way last year.

Houston will return the best meat of their rotation, and the pitching in the bullpen will look to follow.

Jose Altuve is not getting any younger, but he is still able to contribute at a very high level for his squad.

All in all, Houston has a great shot to repeat as Champions, but it won’t be easy.

Bolstered Before 2023 - New York Mets

The NYM Faithful are enjoying an off season that has seen them add Justin Verlander to their already boosted roster.

The Mets were stopped in their tracks last season as the San Diego Padres put forth an absolute booming performance in the WCS.

Although their ride was a bit bumpy and inconsistent at times last season, the Mets will have an opportunity to make up for it in 2023.

A fanbase that is now seeing ownership be aggressive and make moves, this could be the year for the Yankees’ little brothers to make a move.

Fell Just Short in 2022 - San Diego Padres

Baseball is starting to fall in-love with the SD Padres , and for good reason.

What has captivated a whole fanbase in the city of San Diego, the Padres might be housing the best 1-4 in a line-up you’ve ever seen.

With players like Manny Machado, Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Xander Boagerts, there is always going to be problems for opposing pitchers.

Although they had to make space on the cap by releasing some of the key players of last season, they have upgraded in nearly every position possible.

It is becoming lucrative as all can be to join this team, and they could be in demon timing as they finally got over their arch-nemesis Dodgers in the playoffs last season.
