NFL 2022 Weekly Preview: Week 13

News Content

Can you feel the temperature drop in the air?

It’s officially December and it’s the most wonderful time of the year!

With the Holidays coming up, we will do our best to make sure everyone has a little extra coin in their wallet.

While we had a bad week last week going 1-3-1, we are very confident that we will start the month of December off strong.

So sit back, relax and enjoy our five winners over the next five days.

If this is your first time reading our Weekly Preview, we have a winner for each of the five days of football.

This covers the NFL Thursday Night Football, a Friday college football game, a Saturday college football game, a Sunday NFL game and finally the Monday Night Football game to end the week!

With that said, let’s get into the winners for the week!

NFL – Buffalo Bills @ New England Patriots

This Thursday Night we get a wonderful game against the Buffalo Bills and the New England Patriots.

Believe it or not, neither of these two teams are winning their division currently.

The Bills who are 8-3 are tied for first with the Miami Dolphins but are currently fifth in the Playoff Standings due to the Dolphins beating them earlier this year.

The Patriots are at the bottom of the AFC East with a 6-5 record and are one game out of the Playoffs.

Therefore, this is a huge game for both of these teams.

The Buffalo Bills are on a 2-game winning streak while the Patriots are coming off a heartbreaking loss on Thanksgiving against the Vikings.

While it’s very hard to bet against the Patriots in Foxboro, we believe the Bills will rally around the Von Miller injury and play inspired football on defence.

Buffalo is by far the better team offensively here and we expect Josh Allen to play a great game against one of the best defences in the league.

Buffalo has a three game stretch of division games which can really alter the Playoff race.

With the Jets and Dolphins up next for them, they can easily be 11-3 and chasing down the Kansas City Chiefs for the #1 seed.

As good as the Patriots defence is, we believe that their offense will struggle despite Von Miller anchoring the Buffalo defence.

December is when the pretenders separate from the contenders and we are not sold on the Patriots this year.

Lay the 4 points on the road with the Buffalo Bills and expect them to have a statement win on Thursday Night football.

Selection: Buffalo Bills -4 @ 1.93

College Football – Utah Utes @ USC Trojans

This Friday we get the Pac 12 Championship game which should be an amazing matchup between the Utah Utes (9-3) and the USC Trojans (11-1).

The Utah Utes will be looking to win their second Pac 12 Championship in the row while the USC Trojans will be looking to put the Pac 12 back into the College Playoff since the 2016-2017 season.

USC will definitely have revenge on their mind after blowing two 14 point leads and losing on a 2-point conversion to Utah at the end of the game earlier this year.

While the Utes play solid on both sides of the ball, we believe that they aren’t the same team when they are not playing at home.

All three of their losses came outside of Utah and although this game will be played on a neutral field in Las Vegas, we believe that USC will have more of a home field advantage.

Caleb Williams has already locked up the Heisman in our opinion and we believe that this game will cement his legacy.

Lincoln Riley will look like a genius if he can change the culture of USC within a year and put them in the College Football Playoff after leaving Oklahoma less than a year ago.

While all the pressure is on USC to win this game, we believe Caleb Williams will make enough plays on offense to seal the win.

Utah should be able to attack the USC secondary with ease, but Cameron Rising and the Utes will fall a bit short on Friday Night.

Take the Trojans and lay the 2.5 points here. We believe they will get it done and represent the Pac 12 in the College Football Championship.

Selection: USC Trojans -2.5 @ 1.79

College Football - Fresno State Bulldogs @ Boise State Broncos

On Saturday, we are focusing our attention on the Mountain West Championship Game.

The Fresno State Bulldogs (8-4) head into Boise State to play on the Smurf Turf against the 9-3 Broncos. Fresno has been one of the hottest teams in football winning 7 in a row.

They started the season off 1-4 and it was a head scratcher to most people while Jake Haener came back for one more season instead of opting into the draft.

Now, Fresno State looks amazing and Haener is playing some of the best football in his life.

Since returning from injury, Haener has been playing lights out and has not thrown an interception in his past four games.

While Boise State is also quite hot winning three in a row and seven of their last eight games, we believe that Fresno State will be the more inspired team here.

This is the reason why Haener returned for his Senior year and we believe that he will finally win the Mountain West.

Fresno State has not won the Mountain West since 2018 when they beat Boise in this same exact situation.

On top of all this, Boise State was a 10.5-point favourite earlier in the year when Fresno State came into town.

Despite winning and covering that spread, now they are only a 3.5-point favourite.

Take one of the best quarterbacks in college in Jake Haener and expect the Fresno State offense to play great.

While we will take the +3.5 points for insurance, we believe Fresno State has a great shot to win this game.

Selection: Fresno State Bulldogs +3.5 @ 1.78

NFL – Tennessee Titans @ Philadelphia Eagles

Are you ready for some Sunday football?

The Tennessee Titans (7-4) head into Philadelphia to take on the 10-1 Eagles.

The Titans have a 3-game lead in their division and are focused on seeding when it comes to the Playoffs.

The Eagles have a two game lead in their division and are trying to win the NFC to get a first round bye.

While a 10-1 record is quite impressive, the Eagles have benefited from a very soft schedule.

Since their bye, they have played the Steelers, Texans, Commanders, Colts and Packers.

While it’s hard to win in the NFL against any team, we believe they are very overrated and will fall back to reality in December.

Coming off a Primetime win against the Packers, this game looks like a complete let-down spot for the Eagles.

They have their next three games on the road and are facing a Titans team that is coming off a hard fought loss.

We expect Derrick Henry to have a huge game after having a terrible game last week.

Henry rushed for only 37 yards on 17 attempts and has been held under 100 yards in his last three games.

Josh Jacobs now leads the league in rushing and Henry will be motivated to get his #1 spot back this week.

Even if the Eagles manage to win this game, we believe five points is way too many to give up in this spot.

Take the Titans and expect them to easily cover this spread against the overrated Eagles.

Selection: Tennessee Titans +5 @ 1.87

NFL – New Orleans Saints @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Welcome to Monday Night Football. This Monday we have the 4-8 New Orleans Saints heading into Tampa Bay to face the 5-6 Buccaneers.

While the NFC South is a complete mess with every team under .500, this game is quite important.

The Buccaneers hold a 0.5 game lead in the division due to the Falcons having an extra loss.

While everyone and their mother will be on the Buccaneers for this game, we believe that Tom Brady will shine on Monday Night.

This will be the only Monday Night game for TB12 this year, and it’s almost impossible to bet against him in Primetime.

On the contrary, we have the best quarterback to fade when it comes to Monday Night. Andy Dalton is 2-7 on Monday Night Football and has not won in eight years.

Dalton is one of the worst Primetime quarterbacks and we just can’t imagine a situation where he beats Brady in a very important December football game.

The Buccaneers have a very tough schedule coming up as they have to head out west to play the 49ers and then host the Bengals.

If they lose here, they could easily be 5-9 and out of the Playoffs.

While the Saints are still fighting to win their division, we can’t back this 1-4 team on the road.

Despite this being a very public play, we believe the Buccaneers will not only win but cover the 4 point spread on Monday Night.

Don’t overthink this one here!

Selection: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -4 @ 1.90

This week our multi pays 21/1 and we are quite confident in our plays this week.

While we already hit a multi in November, we believe we can hit another one before Christmas arrives.

With that said, best of luck and enjoy these wonderful football games
