Clay is always a tricky surface for many of the players on tour, as the bounces are not consistent and there needs to be a strategy for every game.
Regardless of these conditions, the players will be pouring out their heart and soul for every point played in Paris these next two weeks, and only one will be crowned deserving Champion.

Match Betting Previews
Lorenzo Musetti versus Cameron Norrie
Lorenzo Musetti has had some great battles on the French Open courts over the past few years of his young career, and he only looks to be gaining more and more experience as a result.
The Italian has become a force to be reckoned with on the main tour of the ATP, and now has an opportunity to truly cement himself with a great result here at the RG.
Musetti loves these clay conditions, because of his ability to turn defence into offense.
He is capable of making nearly every shot you can name in the tennis book, which makes him a huge threat with his one-handed backhand.
Lorenzo has had ample experience here already and will use it to his advantage when facing Cam Norrie, a player who’s been fairly inconsistent on clay with his career numbers.
Cameron Norrie lifted his first ever clay title in Rio de Janeiro just a little over two months ago over Carlos Alcaraz.
The scene seemed to be set for him, in that his future clay matches would finally be looking to go his way more often.
The Brit has not had exactly what was planned over the past few weeks, and he needs to get back into form with another deep slam run.
Not great when looking at his overall RG Stats, Norrie is a different player now, and he will look to be the warrior that he always was when he steps onto the court against Lorenzo.
Betting Prediction - Norrie to cover the games spread and the total games to go over total.
Carlos Alcaraz versus Dennis Shapovalov
Carlos Alcaraz is in a position to make a hugely instrumental run here at the French, and his only true competition looks to be from the likes of players like Novak Djokovic and Holger Rune.
However, he needs to get through these first few rounds to have a shot at making history once again.
Alcaraz has shown that he has the abilities to get it done even in tight matches, something he did not have in his arsenal earlier on in his young career.
The teenager from Spain is making waves in the tennis world, and he will fancy a matchup versus Denis Shapovalov in round three.
Denis Shapovalov has a huge task ahead of him this weekend, and he will need to be one hundred percent locked in to even make a dent on Alcaraz’s path to glory.
The Canadian is not historically good on clay whatsoever but has scored a couple of good wins this week to continue his run.
He will need to serve huge, and make sure Alcaraz doesn’t get into his mind early with double faults or unforced errors.
Betting Prediction - Alcaraz 3-0 and the under on games on Stake.com!
