F1 Tips and Predictions: 2022 French Grand Prix

News Content

We’re set for another spicy leg of the F1 Championship as the cars are set to grace the track at the Paul Ricard circuit.

In totality it’s been a fairly straight forward weekend, we’ve seen less of the thrills and spills of recent weeks.

But with that comes minor upgrades to a range of teams and a slight shake up of the grid with penalties being taken by Carlos Sainz and Kevin Magnussen.

That left the former to play pacemarket for his Ferrari friend Charles Leclerc in Q3 which meant the one-time Championship leading driver was able to outpoint key rival Max Verstappen when it came to the crunch.

So to what we may expect tonight? It’s hard to say. Ferrari looks terrific at Austria before Sainz engine literally exploded and Leclerc has late troubles with his throttle.

If you can put those trials and tribulations out of your mind then it’s easier to see Charles Leclerc holding the lead early and being too fast for his rivals.

Even despite starting P19 Carlos Sainz looks a near lock to finish Top 6 with a new engine under the hood. In fact, you could build a really strong case that he will make his way through the field to be on the podium.

That’s where our punting will start but it won’t end there.

Mick Shumacher looks fast in Qualifying and bar for a deleted lap would be starting inside the top 10. Regardless, the $3.75 for him to finish in the points is a terrific bet.

While it’s quite clear anything could happen, our last bet comes up in the winning margin category. There’s not a heap between the Red Bull and Ferrari so under 5 seconds at $2.85 seems a fair price.

BETS:

Carlos Sainz To Finish Top 6 @ $1.57 - 3 units

Winning Margin Under 5 seconds @ $2.85 - 1.5 units

Mick Schumacher To Finish Top 10 @ $3.75 - 1 unit

Carlos Sainz To Finish Top 3 @ $4.35 - 1 unit
