NFL 2022 Weekly Preview: Super Bowl
Welcome to our Super Bowl Preview.
While we are very excited for the big game, we are also quite sad that we will have to wait seven long months for the season to restart.
Life without football is tough but we will be back for another strong year come September.
With that said, we would like to send everyone off as a winner so sit back, relax and enjoy our Super Bowl prediction!
NFL – Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl for a third time in four years while the Eagles are trying to win their second Super Bowl in five seasons.
Both these organizations know what it takes to win the big one and we expect this to be a hard fought game.
While we can make a case for both teams, we believe that the ultimate deciding factor will be experience.
The Chiefs have a ton more experience on their side.
Andy Reid, who coached the Eagles for 14 seasons, will be coaching in his fourth Super Bowl as a head coach.
Despite having a record of 1-2, we believe that he will bring his record up to .500 with a methodical plan to slow down this Eagles offense.
With Tom Brady retired, the torch has finally been passed to Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes, who is 1-1 in the Super Bowl, will look to build on his legacy of being one of the top quarterbacks to ever play the game.
We believe that he will be on his “A” game despite his ankle probably not being at 100 percent.
For the Eagles, we get a young coach in Nick Sirianni who has done a wonderful job since he was hired as the head coach in 2021 for the Eagles.
Sirianni was let go as an assistant coach when Andy Reid came to Kansas City and definitely has a chip on his shoulder.
Jalen Hurts, the Eagles quarterback that no one believed in, also has a big chip on his shoulder.
While motivation angles are key when handicapping a game in the regular season, these things don’t make a difference in the biggest game of the year.
Experience triumphs all and the Chiefs have the more experienced coach and quarterback.
While the Eagles have looked very impressive this Postseason winning their two games by a combined score of 69-14, we believe that they will face adversity right when this game kicks off.
The Chiefs had a much tougher road to the Super Bowl winning by 7 against the Jaguars and winning by 3 against the Bengals.
With both games coming down to the wire, we believe that the Chiefs will have the mental edge in this game.
While we could go on and on about the X’s and O’s, we believe this Super Bowl is quite simple to predict.
Take the best quarterback in the league with Super Bowl experience against a mediocre quarterback that has never been in this situation.
Best of luck and enjoy the game!
