NFL 2022 Weekly Preview: Week 4

News Content

We hope that everyone enjoyed our 4-1 week which had us heading into the Monday Night Football game undefeated with a chance of hitting our 24:1 multi.

Unfortunately, the New York Giants weren’t able to take care of business but we are confident that we will hit our multi within the next few weeks.

With two weeks under our belt, we are currently 7-3 against the spread. We expect our winning ways to continue with a wonderful card this week.

If this is your first time reading our Weekly Preview, we have a winner for each of the five days of football.

This covers the NFL Thursday Night Football, a Friday college football game, a Saturday college football game, a Sunday NFL game and finally the Monday Night Football game to end the week!

With that said, let’s get into the winners for the week!

NFL – Miami Dolphins @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals are returning home after two games on the road and are looking to string together another win against a Miami Dolphins team that is currently undefeated.

With two road games up ahead for the Bengals, a win on Thursday Night is crucial as they have the Baltimore Ravens up next on their schedule.

While Miami looks impressive at first glance with a 3-0 record, we aren’t sold on them at all. In their last two games, they have given up 473 and 497 yards on defence.

They were down 35-14 to the Ravens in the fourth quarter and needed a miracle to pull out that victory.

Last week against the Bills, they were dominated in all key statistics.

Yardage wise they were dominated 497 to 212, gave up 31 first downs while only having 15 themselves and also were on defence for 40 minutes.

Inexplicably, they somehow pulled out the victory and are one of the last two undefeated teams.

With the New York Jets up next for them, we believe that the Dolphins will lose this week but bounce back against the Jets.

Don’t be fooled with a 3-0 team getting 4 points here. Take the Bengals and expect them to easily cover the 4 point spread on Thursday Night Football!

Selection: Cincinnati Bengals -4 @ 1.87

College Football – UT San Antonio Roadrunners @ Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders

The Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are coming off a huge win against the Miami Hurricanes.

As a 25.5-point underdog, the Blue Raiders destroyed Miami and won in convincing fashion.

Just two weeks early, the Blue Raiders went into Colorado State and won as a 13.5-point underdog.

Unfortunately for them, they are facing an offensive juggernaut in the UT San Antonio Roadrunners.

Though only 2-2 for the year, the Roadrunners have played some tough competition.

They lost in triple overtime against Houston in their first game of the season and were tied with Texas going into halftime.

This team is an offensively well-oiled machine averaging 478 yards per game on offense.

The Blue Raiders weakness on defence is their secondary and we expect Frank Harris, the senior quarterback with 10 touchdowns already, to have a huge game.

We always love to bet against a team that had a huge upset the week before especially when they are a small program.

With the Blue Raiders walking around campus with an extra pep in their step this week, we expect them to come out with a bit less intensity and focus than they should against a Roadrunners squad that can put up points in a hurry.

Don’t be fooled with this home dog who just beat Miami on the road. Lay the points on the road and expect a double digit victory.

Selection: UT San Antonio Roadrunners -4 @ 1.88

College Football – Iowa State @ Kansas Jayhawks

The Kansas Jayhawks are 4-0. We repeat. The Kansas Jayhawks are 4-0.

The last time the Jayhawks won 4 games in a season was in 2009.

Coincidentally, Kansas started the season 4-0 and beat Iowa State in a thrilling 41-36 game to improve to 5-0.

Unfortunately for the Jayhawks, they finished their season on a seven-game losing streak and have been the laughing stock of football since.

Fast forward to present day, and the Jayhawks are in the same exact situation hosting Iowa State and looking to be 5-0.

Although we are quite impressed with the quarterback play from Jalon Daniels, we ultimately believe that Iowa State will be able to hold their own defensively and stop him from having a huge day.

The Cyclones have better athletes on both sides of the ball and are coming off a hard fought loss at home against Baylor.

With two costly turnovers and 8 penalties for 78 yards last week, we believe that the Cyclones will play mistake free football this week.

As impressed and happy we are for this Jayhawks squad, we need to remind ourselves that this is college football, not basketball.

Therefore, lay the field goal and expect Iowa State to win this game quite easily.

Selection: Iowa State -3 @ 1.89

NFL – Denver Broncos @ Las Vegas Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders are the only winless team in the NFL.

To make matters worse, they play the Kansas City Chiefs in Arrowhead next week which we can already chalk up as a loss.

Therefore, this is a must win situation for the Raiders if they have any shot of making the Playoffs.

The only team that has ever started 0-4 and made the Playoffs was the San Diego Chargers back in 1992.

If they drop this game and start the season 0-4, we firmly believe that their playoff chances are shot.

While the Broncos are 2-1, they are nothing to be afraid of.

Russell Wilson does not look like the Seahawks version of himself and their coach may be one of the worst coaches in the league.

Scoring 16, 16 and 11 and relying heavily on their defence may work against subpar offensive teams but the Raiders should be able to stay on the field and tire out their defence.

The Raiders have lost their three games by a combined score of 13 points.

Remember, the Raiders were in the Playoffs last year and are better than their record would suggest.

We believe with the Chiefs lurking next week, the Raiders will come out fully focused and put a stomping on this overrated Broncos squad.

Lay the 3 points and expect the Raiders to win by at least a touchdown.

Selection: Las Vegas Raiders -3 @ 1.96

NFL – Los Angeles Rams @ San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers will have revenge on their mind after what happened last year in the NFC Championship Game.

Up 10 going into the fourth quarter, Jimmy G and the 49ers fell apart and ultimately lost by 3 which ended their Super Bowl dreams.

Luckily for them, the 49ers play a lot better against the Rams in the regular season.

Winners of the last 6, the 49ers have been absolute money in the regular season against the Rams and we expect this trend to continue on Monday Night. Losing twice in Primetime in a two-week span is something that Jimmy G will want to avoid at all costs.

With all the injuries to the Rams secondary, Jimmy G and the 49ers should be able to move the ball at will offensively.

We expect the 49ers to look great on Monday Night Football and could easily see this game being a blowout.

Though the Rams are the defending Super Bowl champions, we are not sold on them this year at all.

Expect the 49ers to get back .500 with a beat down against this very overrated and banged up Rams squad.

Lay the 1.5 points and expect a double digit victory in Santa Clara on Monday Night.

Selection: San Francisco 49ers -1.5 @ 1.89

Last week we came so close to hitting our multi.

While we usually don’t like to choose five favourites, we believe these are the best selections for the week.

This week our multi pays roughly 24/1 and we think it has a great shot of hitting. Best of luck everyone!
