Summary

NHL Week 23 is jam–packed and here at Stake.com we aim to bring you the best odds and selections in the game.

The 2022-2023 hockey season has been a pleasure to watch, and the next few weeks will be treats coming down to the wire.

For teams who are trying to get into the playoffs, these weeks remain as the most crucial to their career.

Making the dance and getting the opportunity to compete for a Stanley Cup is what all hockey players dream of.

With only a handful of games left, we get to see who is really separated from the pack.

Different gravy with their game plans, coaches will be keen to step it up a notch at this time of year.

For the teams who have already secured spots, these last few weeks will be a kind of tune-up run heading into the big dance.

Higher seeding is always preferred, and they will be playing to keep their palace as kings in the top of the rankings.

Both Eastern and Western Conferences have legitimate contenders, and week 23 will broadcast some of them in action!

Let’s take a look at the best matchups this week on Stake.com’s sportsbook!

Colorado Avalanche versus Toronto Maple Leafs - Wednesday, March 15th

The Colorado Avalanche are rolling into another post-season appearance, one which will require a defense of their Stanley Cup title.

The men from Denver are more than ready to see their stripes on display this upcoming playoff, but they must end their season in a strong way.

A matchup with the Maple Leafs in a primetime spot on Wednesday will do them all the favours they asked for.

Scoring a ton of goals and being able to double back on defence has made this Avalanche team tremendously hard to beat from multiple viewpoints.

This team is deep and does not require one or two men to go off every night. Although they do have all-stars like Nathan Mackinnon and co.

They are able to take the load off one another with their next-man up mentality.

The Avalanche would love to take all three points in this game and head into next week on another huge positive.

Toronto is once again showing glimpses of greatness in the regular season, but all eyes will be focused on them once the playoffs come around.

There is ample time for the Leafs to rest up and realize their hopes, but for now, they are on fire.

One of the gems of the Eastern Conference, the Leafs will be hard-pressed to find a team that is more in-form than them, and they will carry that confidence over to a game that doesn’t mean much for playoff seeding, but for overall level and pride.

Betting Prediction - Avalanche to win the game and over on total 6.5 by both teams.

Boston Bruins versus Minnesota Wild - Saturday, March 18th

The Bruins and Wild are locking horns for a matchup in the Eastern Conference.

Two of the top teams in the conference are looking to re-arrange their past week and come into the playoffs with more momentum.

Although the Bruins still hold the best record in the league, they will be looking for answers to their scoring woes over the past few weeks.

One thing can be said, though, and that is their ability to play hard and force opponent turnovers.

On the other side of the puck we have the Minnesota Wild who are hyped to head into another postseason appearance.

This game should be epic, so watch out!

Prediction - Wild +1.5 goal handicap and possibly a sprinkle on their money line as well.
