How good is it to have some fight action after a week off?

We've got a good night of fights lined up which should hype us up for the monstrous UFC 280 next week.

The card does not have much name value, but the underrated cards have lived up this year, so we're excited to watch some fights and make some cash!!!

Alexa Grasso vs Viviane Araujo

The third time's the charm with this fight after being cancelled a couple of times.

Alexa Grasso found a new home at Flyweight after transitioning from Strawweight and an impressive 3-fight win streak has got her this main-event spot.

Grasso has always been a great boxer, but she proved the new elements of her game in her last outing against Joanne Wood where she got her first career submission win.

The rank 5 Mexican contender will have a tough task ahead of her first main event in Viviane Araujo.

Araujo has proven that she can overcome adversity in her last fight when she got dropped and has shown that she can beat anyone on her best day.

While everyone ranked above these 2 have already received a title shot, that makes this fight even more interesting as we might be looking at our next potential challenger.

Grasso will look to utilize her footwork by throwing effective boxing combinations and moving out of Araujo's range.

Contrarily Araujo will hold an advantage on the ground given her submission credentials which makes this a fun clash of styles.

Best Bets

Our first best bet this week comes on a Middleweight bout between two strong contenders in Nick Maximov and Jacob Malkoun.

Both these men are great wrestlers so we could see this one playing out on majorly the feet, and we feel the Aussie has faced better competition in his short UFC stint.

At a dog price, we're backing the Aussie to bounce back with a big win.

Our next bet comes on the best fight on the card, at least in our eyes- Askar Askarov vs Brandon Royval.

Brandon Royval steps into the Octagon every time with a killed-or-be-killed mindset which makes him one of the most entertaining fighters.

Although he may not always win, he always looks for the finish, and given that Askarov is coming off his first career loss, both men will have a point to prove and will push for a finish.

For our final pick, we're doubling up on 2 healthy favourites in Tatsuro Taira and Alexa Grasso.

Taira is one of the best-undefeated prospects to come out of Asia and we think he's facing an inferior level of competition which should be easy work for him.

Grasso has been undefeated on her flyweight run, so we think her youth and striking advantage will give her a first main event victory this weekend.
