La Liga - Real Madrid vs Barcelona - 1x2 Real Madrid @ 2.29

  • Nick

With the added incentive of top spot on the ladder, this will be the most keenly fought El Clasico there’s been in a while.

And the battle of the big-game seasoned strikers - Benzema vs Lewandowski - is a very exciting prospect.

Barcelona have been in sparkling domestic form, highlighted by just the one goal conceded in eight league matches.

It can be argued though they haven’t come up against much formidable attacking opposition domestically, and the might of Real Madrid will be a real test to that record.

While conceding a few more goals than their Catalonian rivals, Real Madrid also haven’t skipped a beat, only dropping 4 points in league + champions league competitions combined so far.

Aside from a shock 0-4 loss last year - when the season was virtually already over - Real Madrid had won their previous 3 matches against Barcelona head-to-head.

In addition to their comparable UEFA CL campaigns, it seems Real Madrid are slightly more the form side.

Anytime Real Madrid have 1x2 odds at home of more than 2.00 it is generally great value, and this is no exception. 1.5 units

UFC Fight Night Grasso Vs. Araujo - Nick Maximov vs Jacob Malkoun - Maximov to win @ 1.72

  • Blake

The UFC heads back to the Apex this weekend with Stake's own Alex Grasso set to headline the event.

And while we are confident Grasso can get the job done, the value comes a little earlier in the card with Nick Maximov set to bounce back.

A veteran of just nine professional MMA bouts, Maximov hails from the Nick Diaz Academy.

That looms as a problem for his Aussie opponent Jacob Malkoun who often leans on his wrestling to mix things up.

That tactic may prove folly here however with Maximov having the mat skills to lock up a submission (3 of his 8 wins have come by sub).

This looks a great chance for the Californian to bounce back to the winners stall and at the price we'll be happy to get involved for 2 units this weekend. 2 units

Rugby League World Cup - England v Samoa - 1x2 England @ 2.27

  • Brad

Just when you thought the Rugby League season was over, BANG, here’s a World Cup to sink your teeth into!

Australia, as usual, start the tournament as favourites to take out the whole thing with New Zealand behind them with strong claims to lift the trophy.

This is as even a World Cup we have seen in years with big names defecting the Kangaroos and Kiwis to play for their heritage nations which will lead to a very entertaining tournament.

This weekend we’ll focus on the opening match with hosts England taking on Samoa at St James’ Park in Newcastle.

Samoa have benefitted arguably the most from the player defections with a star-studded squad including Origin players Jarome Luai, Brain To’o, Stephen Crichton, Junior Paulo and Josh Papali’i.

England have a fine squad of their own including NRL players in Victor Radley, Elliot Whitehead, Tom Burgess and Herbie Farnworth.

Samoa might have a better squad on paper but this England team is much more established and settled at international level with the core group having played together for a long time.

The opening game of the tournament may have come too early for Samoa as they look underdone for the England game.

Seven members of their squad played in the NRL Grand Final just two weeks ago, six of those from the winning Panthers team.

The elements of Newcastle in the middle of October also look like another barrier for Samoa who would not be ready for such conditions just yet.

There’s no doubt Samoa will improve as the competition progresses and will cause some harm to the big teams down the line, but we’re going to back England to start the tournament in style in front of their home fans. 2 units

English Premier League - Liverpool v Manchester City - 1x2 Manchester City @ 1.90

  • Dom Rae

The two best teams in England over the past five years go head to head once again at Anfield this week and they could not be in more contrasting form.

City are running riot currently, with Erling Haaland taking to the Premier League like a duck to water and he looks sure to smash all sorts of records.

Their only injury concern of note is Kyle Walker at right back but they have plenty of cover in that area and are firing on all cylinders going forward.

Haaland was rested for City's trip to FC Copenhagen in midweek and will be chomping at the bit to step up in another big game, following his hattrick in the Manchester Derby recently.

Liverpool bounced back from defeat to Arsenal last weekend with a thumping 7-1 win over Rangers in the Champions League, but their domestic form is horrific and they were comfortably second best in that clash at the Emirates last week.

They lost Luis Diaz and Trent Alexander-Arnold to injury in that game to add to a mounting casualty list, and their opponents this weekend are a step up from The Gunners.

City won't be available at odds like these too many times this season and they should be backed to take care of business against Jurgen Klopp's beleaguered side on Sunday. 1 unit

Serie A - Hellas Verona vs AC Milan - 1x2 & Total - AC Milan & Over 2.5 @ 2.21 - 2 Units

  • Caelum

After a strong nine years in the top flight, time may be running out on Hellas Verona's stint in Serie A.

After a 9th placed finish last season which saw them very close to a berth in European competition for the first time since 1986, I Gialloblu are languishing in 18th spot with one win from their first nine starts.

They have found a way to lose two games in a row to late winners against Udinese and Salernitana respectively.

The task of staying up won't be any easier this weekend as they face reigning champions AC Milan, who have a major chip on their shoulder.

Two poor results in the Champions League against Chelsea has left their qualification status in doubt, but attention will turn to the league again this weekend.

Milan fans will be grateful the trip to Verona is quite a short one, especially given their match midweek.

Fikayo Tomori will also be available after a red card against Chelsea, meaning he will be fresh as a daisy for this contest.

Stefano Pioli's man have made this road trip quite an enjoyable one in recent times, not dropping points away to Hellas since a 3-0 loss in 2017.

They have also managed at least two goals against Hellas in each of their last four encounters.

Factor in how Hellas haven't managed a clean sheet in 19 matches, you'd expect Milan to find the net at least twice or thrice in this one as well.

Leao, Giroud, Diaz, Rebic and Origi is a formidable forward group for any side.1.58 to win seems a decent price itself, but with points important as ever in the hotly contested Serie A title race, back Milan to go beyond that. 2 units

MLB - LA Dodger vs San Diego Padres - Los Angeles Dodgers & Over 7.5 @ 3.15

  • Matt R

After an extremely close clash in game two LA will be be coming out swinging, literally.

I predict that the Dodgers will pick up the victory in this matchup, and they’re my choice on the money line and I have coupled in the overs of 7.5.

Punters were surprised when the Padres were able to take the W in game 2.

I expect a lot of runs to be hit in this match up and that's why I have selected the overs.

LA will be too strong for the Padres even on the road and I was close to picking the Dodger by 4 or more runs but have stuck with the money line. 2 units

NFL - Baltimore Ravens vs New York Giants - Handicap Ravens -5.5 @ 1.87

  • Alex

The Ravens will travel to East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the resurgent Giants on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium, fresh off of a victory against the Bengals in prime time.

Against a mediocre Giants run defence, this is the ideal game for Baltimore to build its ground attack with Jackson and JK Dobbins.

In Week 5, the Giants did a great job of limiting Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon to 97 yards. The Giants did, however, allow the Cowboys to gain 176 yards in their lone loss this season.

The Ravens are 5-2 against the spread in their past seven games against the Giants.

Taking the Ravens to win this comfortably. 1 unit

La Liga - Girona FC vs Cadiz CF - 1x2 & Total - Girona FC & Under 3.5 @ 2.19

  • Cesar

La Liga is providing us with some huge matches this weekend and although a Girona FC vs Cadiz CF is not the clash you’d even know of, it is one of the matches that I see is providing some of the best value!

Girona, despite their losing form, have actually been performing quite well and have showed signs of having potential to be one of those revelation teams this year.

They’ve showed they can score quality goals, have players who can make the difference and have the fighting spirit that is much needed for underdogs like them.

If you’ve watched a bit of their latest soccer, you’d agree that Girona are due for a win and this is one of the best chances they will get for a while, facing a Cadiz team that simply doesn’t seem to be able to get out of second gear so far.

Unable to score a goal in eight of their last nine matches, Cadiz simply doesn’t seem to have the quality to be able to get more than a goal here.

On the other hand, Girona have scored in seven out of their last nine matches clearly showing they have the capacity and attacking personality to score even against some of the biggest teams such as Betis, Atletico Madrid and Napoli.

I’m confident Girona will get at least a goal here and that Cadiz will struggle to keep up with the fired up Girona Attackers such as Castellanos and Riquelme!

The added playing at home perk completes my conviction that Girona is most likely to get the win here and that these odds are value enough to go for 2 units. 2 units

League of Legends World Championship - Top Esports vs Rogue - Winner Rogue @ 2.48

  • Ben

Top Esports and Rogue are set to face off for the second time in the tournament.

With Rogue taking a commanding victory in the first battle there's excellent value here in taking them to win again @ 2.48.

Rogue is the the number #1 seed representing Europe's LEC this year and I'll be dammed, they have put on a highly impressive and dominant performance so far against some highly rated opponents in DRX, GAM and TOP, finishing week 1 of groups 3-0.

Don't be surprised to see Rogue finish the group stage with the number 1 position if they keep their form, it seems they have a fantastic grasp on the Worlds meta, backing it up with some great team synergy!

Rogue outclassed TOP in many areas when they fought so its interesting to see them as such underdogs here @2.48.

If you're looking for value backing a team displaying all the right qualities then this is it!

This European team has a genuine chance at making it very far in the tournament this year, perhaps this is the year of the LEC champions!

Time will tell. 3 units

NFL - Green Bay Packers vs. New York Jets - New York Jets +7.5 @1.84

  • Tangy

J. E. T. S. Jets. Jets. Jets. Jets.

Football is back in New York and we’re here for it!

A road visit to Lambeau field is a tall task, but coming off their rolling of the Miami Dolphins combined with the Packers returning from their upset loss in London, the Jets carry all the momentum heading into this one.

They’re 2-0 ATS as the away team this season and as expected were underdogs in both games.

We’re not expecting them to win this match, but give them a 1 possession buffer and this looks a great bet to ride home this weekend! 2 units
