Manchester City versus Manchester United - Sunday, October 2nd, 2022
The Manchester Derby will finally be played this Sunday in a test of two surging sides within the same city.
City fans believe that they have gotten the missing piece to the world with the signing of Erling Haaland, a prized possession like no other for them this season.
The Norwegian striker is scoring from anywhere on the pitch and with balls from fellow all-star teammates that find him, there is no limit as to what is possible for him this year.
City have their eyes on a possible treble in all competitions while maintaining a firm look to Arsenal in the standings at the moment.
A derby game that is looking to reverse the past few years, City look primed to finally conquer their Red Demons.
Manchester United are more than comfortable with their positioning in the table at the moment, but there is a clear want for more out of the club and managers.
After being the laughingstock of the league for the first couple of weeks, United have picked up the pace and are now dishing back the hurt to their opponents.
Erik Ten Hag’s new signings have revitalized the side and hopefully can continue for the rest of the season.
A stern test against the City side that is bulldozing teams at the moment will be a good eye-test and can truly boost them up levels if they can grab three points.
Betting Prediction - Manchester City to win and cover the spread against United in the big derby this Sunday!
Crystal Palace versus Chelsea - Saturday, October 1st, 2022
After a strong start to the season for the Palace men, their return on investment has remained largely short heading into the international break.
The creativity and overall morale of the team has significantly decreased in recent games and needs something to get back going.
Nothing can be said about the recent poor form of Palace, and many of their fans expected them to compete in the upper half of the mid table this time around.
There is plenty of time on the clock for them to change their tone and a result at home versus Chelsea would be a brilliant way to start.
Look for key players in the squad like Wilfried Zaha to make an impact on the game and try to lead CP to a rare win over a top side.
Chelsea is in a bit of turmoil after firing manager Tomas Tuchel just over three weeks ago.
The German manager was never expected to be sacked so quickly, and new ownership behind Todd Boehly could be the reason for the move.
A bit of invigoration needs to be injected into Chelsea, similarly to Palace.
Under Graham Potter, their new manager, they hope to find some consistency within the midfield play as well as an ability to score some goals.
New management and ownership want to tidy things up as fast as possible, and this game will be a stark indicator of what’s to come.
Betting Prediction - Chelsea to win to nil at Palace, to get back onto form under the new gaffer.
