He’s won multiple Fight of the Night bonuses inside the cage, while outside of fighting, he works as a full-time firefighter and paramedic. While he’s no doubt a legend of the division, with wins over Cormier, Ngannou, Dos Santos, Overeem, and Werdum, he’s now 42 years old, and this is most likely his retirement fight.
Charles Oliveira
Since his move up from featherweight in 2017, Oliveira went on an impressive 11-fight win streak, including stoppages over lightweight contenders Dustin Poirier, Justin Gaethje, and Michal Chandler. His last three fights have included two losses, including to the current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev. Oliveira is known for his incredibly exciting style of fighting, prioritising finishing his opponent, and 62% of his wins have come by way of submission.
Michael Chandler
Chandler hasn’t fought since his loss to Dustin Poirier in 2022. He sat out for some time, waiting for a fight with Conor McGregor, which was eventually cancelled. The former Bellator champion has had two wins and three losses in the UFC so far, but they’ve all been against top opposition, and he’s won a bonus in all but one of those fights. His exciting style has made him a fan favourite, and his explosive striking and takedowns make him fun to watch.
