Although she climbed the rankings quickly and picked up some bonuses for her impressive wins when she first entered the UFC, she had difficulties when facing stronger opposition. Her submission skills are one of her main strengths, but she’s also extremely tough.
Amanda Ribas
Ribas is ranked in the top 10 in both the women’s strawweight and flyweight divisions. After recent losses at flyweight to Namajunas and Barber, it’s possible she’s looking to focus on challenging for the strawweight title. She has a 13-4 professional MMA record and is currently 7-4 in the UFC. 3 of those 7 wins have come by stoppage.
Chris Curtis
Curtis had a lot of fights on the regional scene and holds a 31-11 professional MMA record. He’s currently 5-3 in the UFC and fights at middleweight. He’s never been finished in the UFC, while he has finished 3 of his opponents by KO/TKO, including Joaquim Buckley.
Roman Kopylov
Since losing his first 2 fights in the UFC, Koyplov has gone on to 5 of his 6 opponents, including 4 impressive finishes. His record currently stands at 13-3, with a 5-3 record in the UFC. He’s an excellent striker with a great reach, and 85% of his career wins have come by way of KO/TKO.

Mackenzie Dern vs Amanda Ribas
This will be the second time that Dern and Ribas have met in the cage. Their first fight, in 2019, resulted in a unanimous decision for Ribas, despite Dern being the betting favourite at the time. That was Dern’s first-ever loss in mixed martial arts, and since then, she’s struggled to win consistently.
Ribas has a chance to climb above Dern in the strawweight rankings with a win. She beat her once before and will be confident of a repeat based on their recent history. Ribas is the betting favourite for this reason. However, she is coming off 2 losses in her last 4.
Co-Main Event
Chris Curtis vs Roman Kopylov
Since beating Buckley and then losing to Gastellum in a fight of the night, Curtis has had a split decision win, a no contest and a split decision loss. He really needs to build his momentum with another win if he wants to break into the top 15 rankings. He’s only ever suffered a single KO/TKO loss in his career, so he’ll be difficult for Kopylov to stop.
Kopylov is a great fighter at times, but has struggled with consistency when approaching the middleweight rankings. Although his striking is great, he struggles in grappling exchanges at times, and now has two losses from rear naked choke. Still, he’s the current betting favourite.
