NFL 2021 – Divisional Round Betting Tips

News Content

Welcome to our Divisional Round Preview of the NFL Playoffs. We are hoping to build on our success from last week where we predicted all six outright winners and went 4-2 against the spread. With only four games on the weekend slate, we are hoping to go 4-0 straight up and against the spread. Best of luck everyone and have a wonderful weekend!

NFL – Cincinnati Bengals @ Tennessee Titans

We start the divisional round off with the Cincinnati Bengals heading into Tennessee to face the Titans who are well rested after having the week off. In our opinion, the Titans are by far the worse #1 seed that we’ve seen in a long time. With all the talk of Derrick Henry possibly coming back for this game, we believe that he will be a non-factor if he does suit up. The Bengals are one of the hottest teams in the league and they should be getting more respect here. After jumping out to an early lead against the Raiders, the Bengals defence pulled off a great goal line stance to get them into the second round. We expect them to build off this momentum and come out firing against a Tennessee squad that is prone to giving up big plays. As long as the Bengals can stay ahead in this game and force Ryan Tannehill to play from behind, we believe that the Bengals defence will be able to force a couple turnovers which will ultimately lead to a Bengals victory. The Bengals offense is clicking and Joe Burrow has all the weapons at his disposal to carve up this Titans secondary. Like we said last week, Burrow should not feel any pressure here as he played in the National Championship for LSU. He’s a big game player and we expect him to pull off the upset and lead the Bengals into the Conference Championship next weekend. The Titans have been a fraud all year in our opinion and we expect them to be one and done in these Playoffs. If you want to play it safe and not take the 2.60 on the moneyline, take the +4 points and expect the Bengals to definitely cover the spread. Selection:  Cincinnati Bengals +4 @ 1.89

NFL – San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers

Warm weather teams heading to Lambeau Field in January is rarely a recipe for success. While Tom Brady pulled off the feat last year in Green Bay, we expect Jimmy Garoppolo to struggle mightily in the cold. With an injured shoulder and thumb we believe that these freezing temperatures will play a big role and definitely have some effect on Jimmy’s performance. Although Garoppolo played his college career in Illinois, he has never played a NFL game in freezing temperatures. Throw in the fact that the Packers have lost three straight Playoff games to the 49ers and we believe this game has the opportunity to get ugly fast. Aaron Rodgers knows his time is ticking to win another Super Bowl. With home field advantage throughout the Playoffs, it would be a huge disappointment if him and the Packers lost at home two years in a row while having the #1 seed. We can’t see this happening and we believe the Packers will definitely be ready for this fight. Last week the 49ers dominated the Cowboys from start to finish but still had a chance of blowing the game due to Jimmy G’s decision making. The Packers will not get behind early like the Cowboys did and will play disciplined football. They have been by far the most dominate team in the league and we expect them to not only win but to easily cover the six-point spread against the 49ers. Don’t overthink this one and think these 49ers are a good matchup for the Packers. If this was in California, they may have a shot, but playing on the frozen tundra in Lambeau Field will be too much for them to overcome. Lay the 6 points with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers and expect them to win by double digits.

Selection:  Green Bay Packers -6 @ 1.91

NFL – Los Angeles Rams @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Last week we loved the Rams to destroy the Cardinals and they did not disappoint. Though we don’t love this matchup as much as last week, we are still quite confident that the Rams will beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers this Sunday. These Rams are built for the Playoffs and definitely have all the Superstar power that a team could hope for. The Buccaneers on the other hand are an injured mess with tons of players missing in key skill positions. As hard as it is to bet against Tom Brady in the Playoffs, we believe that his offensive line will not be able to protect him against a Rams front four that wrecked havoc against the Cardinals. With Matthew Stafford finally getting his first Playoff win, we believe that all the pressure will be off his shoulders for this game. Sean McVay had a great game plan last week against Kyler Murray and we expect him to try to put as much pressure on Tom Brady as possible. With no dominate wide receivers to throw to, we expect Jalen Ramsey to have a field day. Offensively, the Rams need to do what they did last week against the Cardinals. Run the ball against the Buccaneers to set up the play action for Cooper Kupp and OBJ. As long as Stafford doesn’t make any boneheaded decisions, the Los Angeles Rams should be moving on to the NFC Championship Game. The Rams are by far the more talented team and unfortunately Tom Brady will not be able to win this game by himself this weekend. If you are worried to bet against the Goat, take the +3 points with the Rams. They will definitely cover!

Selection:  Los Angeles Rams +3 @ 1.88

NFL – Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs

Welcome to a rematch of the 2021 AFC Championship Game. For those who don’t remember, the Buffalo Bills jumped out to a 9-0 lead and then got destroyed. Revenge was on their mind when they came back into Kansas City earlier this year and blew out the Chiefs. Now they are meeting again in what should be a great game. As scary as it is to bet against Patrick Mahomes and this explosive offense, we believe that the Buffalo Bills are a matchup nightmare for these Chiefs. We also believe that this Kansas City team is not as good as they were the last few years. Therefore, we are going to do the unthinkable and bet against Patrick Mahomes in Primetime. Josh Allen and the Bills offense looked downright amazing last week against the Patriots and we believe they will look exactly the same this week against the Chiefs. If Bill Belichick couldn’t stop them, we don’t expect Andy Reid to have anything to stop them from scoring at will. On the other side of the ball, the Bills should be able to do enough to cause a few turnovers and get a few crucial key stops down the stretch. As long as Josh Allen doesn’t try to do to much, the Bills should be able to score on this overrated defense every time they have the ball. This is a golden opportunity for the Bills to make a run to the Super Bowl and we believe their time has come. It’s very rare to see a team in the AFC Championship three years in a row, and we believe that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will lay an egg here at Arrowhead Stadium. Take the Bills and expect them to win by double digits in what will be a shocker to some people.

Selection:  Buffalo Bills +2.5 @ 1.91

Our multi this week pays 12:1 as there are only four teams to choose from. We believe this has a great chance of hitting so definitely give it a shot. Best of luck and have a wonderful weekend watching these NFL Playoff games!
