Elite Sports Betting Tips: October 7
English Premier League - Bournemouth vs Leicester City - Asian Totals - Over 2.5 goals @ 1.85
Nick
The battle of the Premier League’s worst defences.
Leicester finally got off the mark last week with a comprehensive 4-0 of Nottingham Forest.
This surely will re-install some much needed belief in a still very talented side.
Despite sitting second last on the ladder, only five other teams have scored more goals than Leicester this season.
They’re also led by James Maddison who is in stunning form, and is a late bolter to make the England World Cup squad.
Bournemouth have managed a four game unbeaten streak under caretaker coach Gary O’Neil, but will want to fix an unwanted home record.
They haven’t scored a goal at home for three matches now.
They will be buoyed by the fact they’ve never lost a Premier League game against Leicester at home, so this is a great opportunity to end their scoreless streak.
We’ll back in the overs, in a hopefully entertaining match. 3 units
NFL - Miami Dolphins Vs New York Jets - Dolphins -3 @ 1.80
Blake
There may be some trepidation heading into this week for those taking the minus line on the Miami Dolphins but not this punter.
Teddy Bridgewater is an experienced QB who slotted into the role pretty well after Tua was concussed last week.
Given the weapons the Dolphins have on offense, we can expect them to put up some significant points this week.
As good as the Jets have been this year, it’s hard to see them going blow for blow with the Dolphins this week.
At the flat -3 line we’ll be hoping for a push at worst but the prospects for a blowout here are real so we’ll punt confidently with 1.5 units on the line. 1.5 units
A-League - Melbourne City vs Western United - 1x2 Western United @ 4.10
Brad
With the National Rugby League season all over we move from the second-best Sporting competition in Australia to the best, the Izuzu Ute A-League Men!
We start the season with a bang in the form of a Grand Final rematch with Melbourne City hosting champions Western United at AAMI Park.
Both teams have largely settled squads from last season with little player movement from either team, something which is pretty rare in the A-League.
For the champs Western it’s not the players they’ve lost or gained that will make the difference this year, it’s the players they have managed to hold on to with defender Leo Lacroix and striker Aleksander Prijovic set to return to the club after being so influential to fledgling clubs success last season.
A similar story for City as they remain relatively the same from last season, with foreign trio Thomas Lam, Valon Berisha and Richard van der Venne their new arrivals.
The market has City firm favourites for the season opener at 1.78 with Western outsiders at 4.10.
Full disclosure, I may be a Western United fan and somewhat biased but that seems like an outrageous price for Western.
These two played each other four times last season with Western winning three of them, the other being a 2-2 draw which they lead 2-0.
Throw in three clean sheets to that stat for Western and it’s fair to say the green and black had the better of City last season.
Western arguably have a better squad this year than their championship-winning squad so it’s hard to see how City are priced at such a short quote.
Betting early season A-League games is usually a dangerous game with too many unknowns, but the price on offer for Western United is too good to pass up. 1 units
English Premier League - Brighton & Hove Albion v Tottenham - Over 2.5 goals @ 1.84
George
The AMEX stadium will experience the first home match under new manager Roberto De Zerbi, who will be facing a Tottenham outfit hoping to erase their disappointing results over the past week both in domestic and European leagues.
De Zerbi has verbally discussed his preference for attacking football at the expense of conceding a couple goals, while Antonio Conte would have shuffled his formation around after their mid-week 0-0 stalemate against Frankfurt to combat their lack of avenues to goal.
This game will feature some true offensive weapons in Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min, Dejan Kulusevski, Leandro Trossard, Danny Welbeck, Pascal Gross and Solly March, and there is a high chance that we will see them in full force within their respective attacking thirds.
Call me crazy, but I’m smelling a potential 4-3 score line in favour of the home team. 3 units
English Premier League - West Ham v Fulham - 1x2 West Ham @ 1.78
Dom Rae
Fulham took a thumping against Newcastle last weekend and looked a shadow of the side that hit the ground running in the Premier League back in August.
Their talisman Aleksandar Mitrovic's goals have dried up in recent weeks and they his injury is a major boost to their opponent's chances this weekend.
West Ham on the other hand have quietly started to improve, they picked up a routine win against Wolves last time out in the league and won away in Europe in a tricky tie against Anderlecht on Thursday.
Gianluca Scamacca was linked with moves to Paris Saint Germain and Arsenal in the summer before moving to East London, and is starting to show why those top clubs held an interest.
His goals against Wolves and Anderlecht were terrific finishes and he looks a major upgrade on Michail Antonio.
The Hammers are unlucky not to have more points on the board, and have already played Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham, which probably puts them in a false position, however, they are a cut above this weekend's opposition and with home advantage can pick up a valuable three points to continue their rise up the table. 1 unit
English Premier League - Newcastle United vs Brentford FC - 1x2 - Newcastle @ 1.82
Caelum
The Toon have a renewed sense of belief following their Saudi takeover and Eddie Howe has them playing a good brand of football.
Against a Brentford side struggling in recent times, we expect their strong home record to continue.
They will be full of optimism following their big 4-1 win at Craven Cottage last time out, with Miguel Almiron proving Jack Grealish wrong by becoming a very handy player up north.
Expect a few goals here as well from two sides who will want to avoid more draws in the chase for top half finishes, if not better.
Newcastle also do have quite a strong recent record against Brentford, winning three of their last five and losing only once.
Add their good record at St. James' into the mix and you will find plenty of value in that 1.82 price. 2 units
English Premier League - Everton V Man United - 1x2 Everton @ 3.70
Matt R
Everton have been putting up some great stat lines so far this season albeit without having many points on the board.
They have conceded the least amount of goals across the Premier League and with United’s lacklustre performances of late upfront this should hold tight again at Goodison Park.
I’m expecting a 1-0 in Everton's favour but rather the straight money line.
You cannot fully dismiss the attack of United and what they are capable of, if they actually do it.

NFL - Baltimore Ravens vs Cincinnati Bengals - Handicap Ravens -3.5 @ 1.92
Alex
An interesting matchup between these two teams.
After a close loss the the Bills last week, having been scoreless for the entire second half, the Ravens take on the Bengals at home.
With Lamar Jackson in stellar performance, expecting the ravens to take this one in a close match.
While the Bengals do have a tough defence, I don't think they will be too much trouble for Lamar.
Looking at the Bengals, Joe Burrow played two of his finest games against the Ravens, throwing for 941 yards with seven touchdowns last season.
Despite this, the Bengals have struggled to protect Burrow, who has taken 16 sacks, tied for second in the NFL.
Taking the Ravens to win this one at home. 1 unit
La Liga - Real Valladolid - Real Betis Balompie - 1x2 & Total - Real Betis Balompie & Under 3.5 @ 3.10
Cesar
After an unlucky trip to the premier league, we just have to go back to our home in La Liga and support the lads who have made us proud many times before.
Real Betis travel to Valladolid in hopes of securing another win and fix up their recent form that although not completely bad, has experienced a little dent.
With Fekir back in the squad, I expect his magic to return on the pitch to help the team secure a win in style.
Having secured an important win in the Europa League, Betis will be ecstatic and full of belief to continue fighting to be in the top spots of La Liga.
Valladolid has been playing some decent football, with a few of their players fired up in recent performances.
Although they have lost most of their games, they have put up a decent fight in the large majority of them.
Here Betis can’t go underestimating Valladolid, especially after Valladolid just pumped 3 goals against Getafe.
With the quality that Betis has all around the team however, I don’t see Valladolid managing to score more than 1 goal here, and most likely experiencing defeat against the returning Fekir, Canales & Borja Iglesias link ups. 4 units
League of Legends World Championships - T1 vs Edward Gaming - Winner Edward Gaming @ 1.90
Ben
To kick off the first day of the LOL Worlds group Stage we have an exciting clash between the LCK (Korea) and LPL (China).
Both these two teams have both displayed exceptional seasons in their respective regions to lock in their spots at Worlds.
Edward Gaming should have the stylistic edge here if they can transition their fast paced early game into a solid lead and close out.
Team compositions will play a huge role in the outcome of the match, and both teams have plenty of games to research.
Edward should have the advantage on the latest patch as long as they can keep the match on their terms and execute without too many mistakes. 3 units
AFL Women - St. Kilda Saints vs Carlton Blues - St. Kilda Saints @ 1.78
Tangy
Let’s start the new month off with a bomb!
The Saints step onto home turf for a second week in a row and the last time out, it was a brutal 12 point swing as veteran Nic Stevens blew a golden opportunity to seal the match before Collingwood, off the boot of their youngster Eliza James, found a way to get the ball between the big sticks and deliver the blow of a 2 point loss to the Sainters.
Goldfish mindset though as the girls look to come out and put Carlton to the sword.
The Blues have struggled this season, seeing the departures of some big key players subsequently finding themselves on just one win on the season and two draws.
And with their win being a 1-point victory over the newbies Essendon, the task ahead of them at St. Kilda looks much too difficult. 4 units
