NFL 2022 Weekly Preview: Week 10
Welcome to our Weekly Preview. We finished last week with another 3-2 week which we can’t complain about.
Although we still haven’t hit our multi for the year, we are quite confident with this week’s card.
Early to mid-November is usually when separation occurs between pretenders and contenders. So sit back, relax and enjoy our five game preview!
If this is your first time reading our Weekly Preview, we have a winner for each of the five days of football.
This covers the NFL Thursday Night Football, a Friday college football game, a Saturday college football game, a Sunday NFL game and finally the Monday Night Football game to end the week!
With that said, let’s get into the winners for the week!
NFL – Atlanta Falcons @ Carolina Panthers
This Thursday night we get the Atlanta Falcons (4-5) heading into Carolina to play the Panthers who are 2-7 and desperately looking for a win.
Despite their 2-7 record, the Panthers are only 2 games out of 1st place in the NFC South.
Last week was a complete wash for PJ Walker and the Panthers. Down 35-0 in the first half, Walker was benched after going 3-10 for 9 yards and two interceptions.
Despite this shoddy production, Walker was named the starter for this week.
We believe that this may be a play well or get benched for the rest of the season situation for Walker, and we are quite confident that he will bounce back and play well against an overrated Falcons squad.
Two weeks ago, the Panthers should have beat the Falcons if it wasn’t for the boneheaded penalty by DJ Moore for taking his helmet off.
Coming back home for a bit of home cooking is what these Panthers need after being on the road for their last two games.
Expect a close game with the Panthers not only covering the +3 point spread but winning outright as an underdog.
Selection: Carolina Panthers +3 @ 1.83
College Football – Fresno State Bulldogs @ UNLV Rebels
Is there a better way to start a weekend than taking the late night nationally televised game between the Fresno State Bulldogs and the UNLV Rebels?
While these teams are going in completely opposite directions, we believe that 9 points is way too much for the Bulldogs to be laying on the road.
UNLV started their season 4-1 and have lost four games in a row.
The Bulldogs started their season 1-4 and won four straight in a row. Despite this, we believe this matchup is basically a coin flip.
Throw in the fact that Doug Brumfield is back at quarterback for the Rebels and we expect this game to come down to the wire.
We always like taking home dogs on a weekday night and we expect this game to be a lot closer than what the experts think.
Take the nine points and don’t be entirely shocked if the Rebels pull the outright upset in the Vegas desert late at night!
Selection: UNLV Rebels +9 @ 1.91
College Football - Louisville Cardinals @ Clemson Tigers
Clemson got demolished last Saturday and are playing for pride right now.
Ranked #10 in the country, most experts believe the Tigers will falter down the stretch as they have almost no shot of making the College Playoffs.
With a remaining schedule of Louisville, Miami and South Carolina before the ACC Championship, Clemson has a great shot to 12-1 before their Bowl Selection.
We believe that Dabo Swinney will have his team fired up after not scoring a point until the 10-minute mark in the fourth quarter last week.
Louisville comes into Clemson on a 4-game winning streak.
With a record of 6-3, Louisville’s season gets a lot tougher with their last three games against ranked opponents.
We believe these are coming in a tad overrated especially due to the fact that their last three wins have been at home.
The last time they were on the road was over a month ago and the crowd noise should be a major factor.
This is a perfect spot for Clemson’s offense to get back on track against a Louisville defence that is known to get torched for big plays.
Lay the seven points with Clemson and expect them to avenge their loss to Notre Dame in a blowout win at home against these Cardinals.
Selection: Clemson Tigers -7 @ 1.91
NFL – Seattle Seahawks @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Are you ready for some early morning football in Munich, Germany?
The 6-3 Seattle Seahawks come into Munich on a 4 game winning streak to face the 4-5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
You may be asking how a 6-3 team is an underdog to a 4-5 team when the game is being played in a neutral location.
The answer to that question is quite simple.
The Seahawks are the most overrated team in the NFL and should definitely start crashing back to reality this week against a Tampa squad that showed a lot of heart after a thrilling come from behind victory against the Rams.
We believe that Tom Brady and the Buccaneers will play great after that huge win.
The Buccaneers defence played amazing allowing only nine first downs and we expect them to force multiple turnovers against a Seahawks squad that has turned the ball over in every game this year.
Tampa is looking for their first two game win streak since they started the season out 2-0 and we expect them to not only win but to cover the 3-point spread here in Munich.
Even though the Buccaneers are probably a tad overrated themselves, we will take Tom Brady over Geno Smith any day of the week.
Lay the points and expect the Seahawks to start slumping this week.
Selection: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -3 @ 1.98
NFL – Washington Commanders @ Philadelphia Eagles
Last week, we took the Houston Texans with the points against the Eagles on Thursday Night football and came out with a victory.
This week, we’ll gladly take the Washington Commanders and the 10.5 points against the Eagles on Monday Night football.
While the Eagles are the only undefeated team in the league, we are still not sold on them to be constantly laying double digit points.
The Commanders are playing better football than most people are aware of. Winners of 3 out of their last 4, they should have beaten the Vikings last week.
Blowing a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter is always hard to overcome the following week, but we believe Taylor Heinicke will play great on National Television.
Heinicke loves being in the underdog role and has played quite well when the lights are the brightest.
As long as he can limit his turnovers, we believe that the Commanders will keep this game close.
In November, we always like to take the points in a division game.
These games are usually closer than expected and even if the Eagles jump out to an early double digit lead, we can see them taking their foot off the throttle and getting backdoored.
Expect the Eagles to win on Monday night but by a touchdown or so. Take the points and feel confident ending your week with a winner on Monday Night!
Selection: Washington Commanders +10.5 @ 1.90
This week our multi pays 25/1.
With three underdogs and two favourites, we believe we have a great chance of hitting our multi this week.
Best of luck and enjoy this wonderful week of football!
