NHL Regular Season Weekly Preview: Week 22
Summary
The NHL is back for Week 22 and that means a plethora of matches that are amplified to the next level.
Postseason hopes are not too far away now, and with only a handful of weeks to go every single team is going to be gunning for the best results possible.
This season has proved to be one for the books, and historically, we have seen some insane scores in individual games.
Goals, goals, and more goals is the name of the game.
Players and teams are getting up shots at record pace which makes the Goalkeeping position the most valuable on the ice.
Players like Connor McDavid and Mackinnon are creating opportunities from thin air and it is the best time to start becoming a fan of the NHL.
Hockey has always been under criticism from people in the general public when it comes to the “top sports” in the world.
This year and last year, however, have proven those haters wrong.
We have some of the best matches going this week, and Stake.com has you covered with the best promotions and props on the web!
Toronto Maple Leafs vs New Jersey Devils - Tuesday, March 7th
The Toronto Maple Leafs are streaking into another dimension currently, and they are eyeing another postseason appearance.
The Toronto faithful have enjoyed a relatively stress-free regular season so far, but their hopes are not reliant on these results.
Turning up in the postseason has been significantly harder and harder for the Leafs, and this year they must make a turn.
Scoring nearly four goals a game, the Leafs are really clicking on multiple levels.
Sticking to the game plan and making all the right plays has resulted in one of the top seeds within the Eastern Conference and they are looking to build upon their record even further.
They will be welcoming a battle between the NJ Devils this week.
New Jersey has new-bound hope for hockey results, and the Devils are becoming a true force to be reckoned with on the ice.
One of the more consistent teams this season, the Devils have put their head down and stuck to the grind every single day.
One of the better defensive efficiency ratings in the NHL, the Devils have gone into games with a team-first mindset.
They are slippery with the puck and always have a chance to test the opposing GK when provoked.
They will look to stop an offense in Toronto that’s about as good as any in the league..
Betting Prediction - NJ Devils +1.5 and the over on total goals in this one.
Vegas Golden Knights vs Tampa Bay Lightning - Thursday, March 9th
VGK and Tampa Bay is a rematch for the ages and will be a great regular season matchup before both of these teams gear up for the Stanley Cup playoffs.
VGK hasn’t been the dominant force they once were, but they are getting results in any way, shape, or form.
Tampa Bay has a ton of veteran leadership, and they are riding previous winning runs.
Both these teams aren’t particularly bothered to put up a win, but both are more than capable of hitting each other with blows.
This will be a great atmospheric game and be sure to tune in!
Prediction - TB Lightning on the moneyline to win this game.
